Planning to change my tyre currently using Pzero non run flat, tyre shop quoted 1700 each for runflat and 1550 each for non runflat. My concern is the performance, will the runflat affect the grip? but does the runflat really necessary ?

I would personally go for the non runflat in case you want to "tampal" later Check whether your PZero has this "foam" inside the tyre to minimise the noise from tyres. If yes, don't get that. It serves no purpose and when there's puncture, chances are it's very hard to tampal. Just my thought....

As I know, run-flat tyre also can tampal. No?
The more important determining factor would be, does your car has a spare tyre? Newer cars especially continental brands does not come with a spare. For weight/fuel saving purpose. Hence, run-flat would be a more logical choice.

QUOTE(John Farmer @ May 13 2020, 07:57 PM) Planning to change my tyre currently using Pzero non run flat, tyre shop quoted 1700 each for runflat and 1550 each for non runflat. My concern is the performance, will the runflat affect the grip? but does the runflat really necessary ? which size and area quote that price?
