MTK is not a threat to Apple and Qualcomm... so, me have ordered Joker Trumps to ignore MTK for now until their sales overtaking Apple Silicon and/or Qualcomm...

Technically should not, as Mediatek are Taiwanese company. US are pro-Taiwan

Nah, US just pro-themselves. Taiwan is just a proxy to them.

Japanese companies have a taste of it before, and they won’t be the last.

hahahhahahah .... US pro Taiwan ?
they required TSMC set factory in US for doing Business with US.
Force MediaTek stop selling chips to Huawei.
-That instantly cause MediaTek share prices dive 25%.
- 120 millions Chips sales contract lose.
guess how many Billions USD mediatek lose ? for a company market at 22b now.

You call US side MediaTek? I would said MediaTek hate US to the MAX.

Not wrong, wakakaka biggrin.gif

Taiwan and US are just buddy buddy, coz China bully Taiwan. US want Taiwan to help control China naval dominance.

Japan, i think your refer to few decades ago, where US suppress Japan to prevent them from rising up to super power in tech/industry. That's exactly what US try to do with China, however IMO too late. China 'inspired' s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶ too much knowledge already.

Refer above.

1. they required TSMC set factory in US for doing Business with US.
2. Force MediaTek stop selling chips to Huawei.

1 = Just US/Trump's America first policy. Hence they try to force business back to US.
2 = Simply, coz Huawei are China company.

thought they pro TAIWAN ?
120millions chips contract easily double MediaTek market cap, might be triple, if PRO taiwan they should help, but base on ur explanations, this ain't pro TAIWAN, is called PRO US.

Hahaha, the truth hurts laugh.gif

Anyways, with the JRE video out yesterday, Samsung will have some very serious questions to ask themselves for their next flagship. Going down the Exynos/SD route with the same pricing again will eventually cause even their most loyal fans in the Exynos regions to give up biggrin.gif
I doubt Samsung will go the Mediatek route since they have their own Exynos. Perhaps we’ll see them use the 990 in the A series next year?

As for Poco, I think we will see the Dim 1000 SOC in one of their global phones really soon - hopefully! If it comes at a good price with that performance in the video you shared, I think it’ll be a good buy!

But the Poco strategy is a bit confusing now with the F and X series - the F is suppose to be the “flagship killer” and the X is midrange? That won’t work if the X is priced around RM1500 coz that’s too near the F series price, right?

Oh, and they also have a M series? biggrin.gif

A lot of long time fans will rage quit... Like us maybe tongue.gif
But this is nothing much to samseng fags 😆

Mediatek flagship chipset looks promising. But I hope they do something about being less-friendly to developers. But I totally I agree with you, given at the current estimated price, those dimensity phones are no doubt will be a good buy... Wonder if qualcomm will bat an eye with their apple sammy price-increase-every-year approach.

Yup, just throw in a free TV and all is forgiven laugh.gif

Ya, if there is a criticism of the newer MediaTek chipsets is that it is still not friendly to developers. Hopefully that will change with enough wide spread adoption in the future so that Android makers can have more options and Qualcomm will have to tone down their Apple Sammy approach like you said, haha..

Ya, they have the marketing muscle that others don’t laugh.gif

Heard the Poco X3 NFC might launch at below RM1k - that might hurt their own Note 9S Pro...

I don’t think under 1k is possible, same reason as you mentioned the Redmi Note series had those covered.

Xiaomi’s global store is listing it at 1599. Their all time low was 1519, during a Shopee Mall day few weeks ago.Attached Image
