Wait til poco gets miui 12 stable then review kaw kaw 😄
Would love to see how HMS performs after a year or two, too. 😄

What about you? What's your daily driver now? And what phone do you have in mind next?
*
The Poco F2 Pro... it's the only way I can evaluate a phone - make it my daily driver, hahaha. At the moment I'm not eyeing any new phones yet, can't get any good bargains at the moment. Probably the OP8 if the price comes down a bit... The 8 Pro with the culture cam will have to wait laugh.gif

I see. 8 Pro gonna take a while. Btw, since u use both iPhone and android. How do you find the battery life on iPhone relatively? Standby time better than android?
*
Yes, the iPhone remains better at standby than Android. In usage, they are about the same, maybe the iPhone is just slightly more power efficient but not by much. The iPhone 11 Pro Max with a battery just under 4000mAh can pretty much give me 10 hours SOT over 2 days too...

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94310792

Can't achieve that on any Android with that kinda battery size smile.gif

I see. I guess android still has a long way to go to beat iPhone in terms of power management and efficiency. I always think iPhone is marginal better, but different people give different answers. But yours is the most convincing since our SOT for f2p/k30p are quite similar. Thanks for the input 😄
*
No worries bro smile.gif

For me the benchmark of a phone with good battery life is 10 hours SOT over two days, and I've achieved it so far with 5 phones prior to the F2 Pro (and I've tried many phones, hahaha): -

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
iPhone 11 Pro Max
Realme 5
Galaxy S10 Lite
Realme 6 (although this one could be artificial as I achieved it during the MCO with 100% on WiFi)

So exynos line couldn't make it 😅. Good thing I ditched my note8
*
Hahaha, yeah, couldn't achieve those numbers with any of my previously owned Exynos Samsung phones - the idle drain tends to be a bit more than I would like.

Anyone knows where to get geekbench 5 scores for poco f2 pro 6gb vs 8gb?

I want to know how much better performance the rm2599 vs rm2199 actually is.

Antutu or geekbench 4 also ok.

Edit: Manage find the answer, https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-poco-f2-pro
*
Bro, did you buy the OP8?

Hi guys,
just gotten my pocof2pro (8+256) on last saturday.
Comparing with pocof1 i noticed so far:

1) in-screen finger print is slower/worst than f1 rear finger print
2) face unlock cannot work in the dark room whereas f1 can unlock without any problem
3) Antutu scored #5 while Redmi k30 pro scored #2. i thought they are the same spec...hmm.gif
*
Yeah, an in display optical FP reader won't be able to match a capacitive physical FP reader just yet in terms of speed and reliability, so that's a given. I had some issues with the FP reader initially too but after deleting all my FP and re-registering it again, the accuracy is acceptable now. I don't use 2D face unlock on Android phones so no idea how fast or slow it is on the Poco F2 Pro.

Only the essential ones to qualify the basic necessities of a smartphone like dialer, messages, browser, video, music, file manager, clock, calendar and few others. It's a whole lot lesser than stock.
*
Hmm, ok, might be worth the try then smile.gif

But really, one whole week to wait... By then the enthusiasm has run out, but maybe that's what they want, hahaha...

I bought this but it was only quick charging and not turbo charging compared to the original cable included.

Anyone has used other cable that is turbo charging like xiaomi? Reason is I want a longer cable - 2meters.
*
You used this cable with the ori adapter?

Hi I have been using POCO F2 Pro for 2 weeks now I am on Maxis and have discovered that while using Waze ,when I receive a phone call my GPS will drop. Once I hang up My Waze GPS will be ok again? Does anyone else have this problem? With my Mi Mix I use to be able to handle Waze, Phone Call, Hot Spot simultaneously...!!! On Maxis as well.. So is this a phone problem?
*
I'm on maxis as well and so far no issues but my Waze drive is only limited to the city right now where reception is generally good. I think some phones generally do get the navigation interrupted by phone calls though.

Mine is not an AP set...bought from Lazada during flash sale.... so it's official Msia set not AP

My reference on the AP set was in reply to another guy, bro smile.gif

if global set..bought from xiaomi global store in shoppee/lazada..is the warranty covered by mi msia?
*
If not mistaken I think it is. I noticed in the Note 9S thread that numerous people got theirs from Shopee Global shop and mentioned the warranty was valid in MY. Good price?

accuracy

Personally for me, I feel the haptics are a little awkward, but it could be because I’m too used to the iPhone’s haptics, which is class leading. Don’t get me wrong though, this one is still alright - won’t win any awards, but it’ll get the job done.

ok checked with mi shop rep, it is covered..still contemplating wanna use or not..it is 6gb/128gb unit..maybe wait for OP-Z launch..
*
Apparently it will now be called the OnePlus Nord, and it's slated to be priced as the iPhone SE, so maybe around RM1999. I'd probably add the few hundred more and just get the OP8..

If can get one free nord vpn account for lifetime at that price then why not. But obviously it doesn't have anything to do with nord vpn, hahaha.....

Ah yes! No wonder I thought the word Nord sounded familiar but couldn't place where exactly I heard it before, hahaha...

got 1k different ? no la ...... 6/64 around 1.4k right ? add 100-150 for 6/128 (f1).
*
I think a number bought their F1 for RM12xx during the tax holiday back in 2018 laugh.gif

Ya, but you’re right, the 6/128 F1 vs the 6/128 F2 Pro difference is less than RM1k.
