Well, @fun_feng was polite about it, and @bearbearwong intimated that perhaps a man of substance wouldn't back down. I still believe I don't owe it to anyone to prove anything, but I don't make it a point to claim things that I cannot back up - that's actually a principle point in medicine that I impress upon my undergraduate and postgraduate students - "Rule Number 1: never say anything you cannot back up".
