Alcohol is also a form of tax on the poor. You have alcohol addicts who come from the poorest neighborhoods, whom would spend 60% of their income to get drunk and then hate themselves after they sober up.

The rich would drink alcohol socially and only when it’s free but to chug it down like a fish is the domain of college kids and B40s. They will also have a mini bar area as standby for when they are hosting dinner parties.

I am M40 lah. So I still stockpile drinks. The M40s are not only paying income tax but also sin tax on liquor and wine.

But I heard a lot of ultra rich if they buy liquor, they would buy them while on overseas trip so they don’t pay tax as it is duty free.
