I'm referring to stuff like 25m charity donations from wedding ang pows. Thats kind of out of the ordinary wouldn't you agree? Im not saying its not real I'm just saying its not something you hear everyday and I'm not surprised to see that some people are skeptical about it.

25 million is pocket change for the likes of the Vincent Tan Family and other scions of business magnates. I won’t be surprised if they can afford to donate 25 million to charity.

I am not saying that everyone has 25 million to burn, it’s just that some ktards on here are just on another level.

I mean we donate to the tune of $25,000 a year to charities of our choice (Lion's Befriender, Hospice Care) - about $1,000/month each on my wife and my side, also in honesty, because of the 250% tax rebates given, and that's something we have done for the past decade or two - it's fair to give back to society, when society has given us so much. But, that's the limit of my ability and comfort. $25m is truly beyond my meagre abilities - and in fairness, I can easily imagine certain individuals from my profession capable of such donations - Susan Lim, Datuk KC Tan for example, but those are superstars in their rarefied fields.

So you part of the embassy staff? Even the tea lady at Australian Embassy earns 20k a month, bro..

I ve been to a billionaire son wedding where they dont even accept angpow from guest and not even tycoon level can accumulate angpow until 25mil , if your dad is a big time politician like Najib then I would say 25mil in angpow isnt so farfetched .

Nobody would question the Vincent Tan family if they made that 25m claim but an anonymous internet forum user is a bit different. I'm not even asking for evidence myself because I just take it all as entertainment but I'm trying to explain why some people might be somewhat skeptical and unless you're in the habit of believing everything you read here I would imagine you could see that its a reasonable stance to adopt. I'm also not calling anyone a liar btw.

Fair enough stance, fair enough. I believe the onus lies squarely on us, the reader, to discern for ourselves that which warrants belief, and that which may be discounted as harmless entertainment.

But, truth be told, outlandish claims or otherwise, none of these have ever offended me, or caused any harm to befall me, and certainly, my buttocks are not in any discomfort - at the end of the day, whilst we are not capable of predetermining what others say or do, we are certainly capable of controlling how we feel and react in response.
