Hello, I am using a samsung 60hz 1080p monitor now, planning to get a 144hz one in the near future.

I wanna do dual monitor with these 2 monitors but some people seem to say the setup is problematic because windows will pull down the refresh rate to match 60hz.

I could sell off the 60hz monitor but I felt its abit waste because I just bought it very recently.

Feedback from any successful users?

It will not so comfortable to your eyes switching from 60hz to 144hz and back.

Why not just get all 144hz monitors?

Plus out of budget

The 60hz monitor would just be used for word documents and web surfing while gaming

You windows 10 bro?

Read is when tabbing to 2nd screen 60hz to do anything hardware accelerated stuff like opening chrome will stutter main 144hz screen.

Whats your configuration and spec may I ask?

Dual monitor plugged in gpu?

Im using 144hz + 75hz monitor. Both are running fine and the 75hz does not bottleneck the 144hz.

No problem between different refresh rate on mine. If you try to do 2 monitors recognized as 1 monitor or play game that span 2 monitor then it will follow the lowest refresh rate.

no issue with dual monitor, 60+ 144
Old LG 60hz 5yr old++
Asus gaming monitor 144hz

What do u mean by pull down refresh rate? my gaming monitor always run 144.
As long as ur GPU can handle i dont think it will be an issue.
If u r using nvidia, make sure u pick the 2nd one option. if not when game and tab out, some fullscreen game will cause weird random flickering line.

Someone mentioned that plugging in your 2nd monitor into your integrated graphics instead should fix the problem. (Make sure that onboard graphics is enabled in your bios) I run my second monitor with a second older graphics card. (Non-SLI) So it helped too
