AP set just different warranty from authorised set.

Upgrading means the upgrading of the phone's firmware. AP sets can be upgraded as well, but you need to pay each time you upgrade.

Price is different because of the warranty. If there's anything wrong with your phone, ie dead pixel, motherboard fried or LCD went dead, you can change it FOC if you're having an Ori set within the warranty period. But if AP set, you most prob have to pay for the repairs. And mind you, these arent't cheap. Therefore its advisable to get Ori even though you're paying a little more, its for the peace of mind.

There should be a warranty card from Sony Ericsson, with the authorised distributor's chop, for example T-Choice, Midlands or Grandtech depending on which model you're buying. And there should be the respective authorised dealer's sticker.

AP sets don't give warranty on parts even within the one year period (most of them). Now compared to Ori sets, which do you think is more worth it?

Zitron is not an authorised distributor for SE. SE is distributed by T-Choice, Midlands or Grandtech. Not sure the T230's authorised distributor though.

This has been mentioned before, that the 6620 would not be available in the local market. as its meant for the US market only.

Still valid (if they haven't changed their policy! ) I only present my warranty card when I need to upgrade my firmware for the first time, or if I need to send it in for repairs.

They just require you to fill in the date of purchase...

3rd party means non-Ori. Most probably is new, not 2nd hand.

AFAIK, all phones not distributed by the authorised distros are known as AP sets.

AP set does not necessarily equal to recon or 2nd hand set, but some dishonest dealers might sell you 2nd hand/recon AP sets passing them as new sets. So be more careful when buying AP sets.

All the authorised service centres are listed in the warranty card when you purchase the set. For firmware upgrades, why not consider doing it yourself online? I upgraded my K750i to R1J002 at home.
