Copy the System Log - General Log. Then report to Asus Support. Ask them to check.

A single unit is not enough if your neighbors are using Mesh wifi. My next door neighbor's wifi is swarming all over my house and i had to relocate the router and change channels

I'm using rt-ac67u twin pack, in a full wireless setup, on a 5000 sqft bungalow house with unifi 500mbps. I want to upgrade to a new router and keep these 2 units as nodes, still in a wireless setup.I placed router on ground floor, connected to TV box via Ethernet. On same floor, I have the node in a bedroom 10m away, it is connect to the box via Ethernet as well.

Intending to keep one ac67u as node on second floor, I don't know which WiFi 6 model to choose? Is AX56U, AX92U , AX3000 or AX82U a better choice? Especially, considering the compatibility issue of Wi-Fi 6 router pairing with WiFi 5 node.

Can someone help explain the pro and con of these 4 models as the router?

Not sure about combability since I don't have AC67U. But it should work fine on AiMesh (if firmware is okay).
Get 3x3 router for best performance as AC67U is 3x3. So AX92U and AX82U will give you better AiMesh performance through wireless connection.

Thank you for point out the 3*3 transmisson feature. Does AX82U has better range than AX92U?

hey jayce, a bit off topic but if I want to install the new modem to replace the UNIFI's modem, all I need is the PPoE passsword right?

and all Asus models should support UNIFI?

I am abit confused as well because my UNIFI has two devices, i think it is called fibre.

The other one is the ONU modem. The one you want to change is the wireless router. Yes, just setup and key in username and password will do. Do select unifi as ISP.
Yes, all Asus routers support unifi. thumbsup.gif

Does it help with the range of the router?

Currently I am using the Huawei one that UNIFI provides... the 2.4 ghz is so slow dont know why.... and the range of 5ghz cuts alot...

I stay in a condo around 1k sq ft.... not sure if the range is limited or because the doors are a factor as well... my speed is only 50 mbps

I have watched both of your video for ax55 and ax56u...
A bit technical for me... Based on my condo unit and speed package. Would you recommend me ax55 instead?

Yes, wireless router controls it.

Free router is like that. If you don't need USB port, go for AX55. Else AX56U. Both of them are great for starters.

Thanks for the advise. I will proceed with the purchase =)

Does the RAM makes a lot of difference for ax55 and ax56u?

I have about 6-8 devices connected at the same time

Great vids and guides btw. Keep up the good work!

Hi Guys, just wanted some input, i m considering replacing my Asus AC-1300UHP with either :

- Asus AX56U
- TPLink AX73

Currently on 500Mbps Unifi and Double story house.

i) Which will be able to maximise performance
ii) Best in range?

or any other Wifi6 that is similar to above budget to recommend?

Thank you in advance

Does anyone here know how to get the root access into this router?

I can only get the user permission when doing SSH like below:

maxibi@home:/tmp/etc# sudo su
-sh: sudo: not found
