Just noticed that wise (bastards mad.gif ) are now charging dynamic fees for "lesser known currencies". Used to be single digit few rm fees now dah double digit rm for the fees.

So much for being transparent and lowest bla bla. So for those changing in to these lesser currencies take note.

Which "lesser known currencies" is that??

Mind sharing 🙏

In my case its JPY. i did try the aud, rmb and some others but didnt indicate there is a dynamic charge for those. Im not sure why yen is categorized as lesser currency tho. (Maybe because i've been exchanging it often kot and thats the bulk of my money in my acc)

Wise has always had a range of non-traditional fees, and throughout this post, I've repeatedly mentioned how strange it is that many believe Wise has no "hidden fees" or the lowest rates.

Put it this way la, no one said they didnt have hidden fees or fees at all. They had and it was somewhat lower then the rest and livable. Now need to find further options, tiresome but thats the reality.

Since were talking about yen, its not that great the rates now. 33.xx, its was great in July, peaked at 34.8x.

After that wise started intro dynamic fees, then now they hide everything and plainly say its just "fees". So much for being transparent.

34.xx currently, hopefully it reaches the high of 34.5 or beyond, good time to keep yen if you're planning to visit japan.
