My wife create Wise account use my referral code which can select "Here’s a free card or transfer for Wise" from the link. However why she was charged RM13.70? I helped her to check but no option to select free card or transfer also.

Emailed to Wise to report "BUG" because wise checked everything included referral code could not found any problems. Asked to cancel the card order & redo. If still doesn't work, pay first and wise will refund back the RM13.70.

So if WISE oversea issue card eg SG can put more than RM20K value or equivalent currencies?

QUOTE(Justmua @ Aug 31 2024, 09:25 AM)
20K cap is by BNM, not by Wise. Hence, any similar competitors will still have this regulatory limitation.

How to make Wise as Credit Card?

QUOTE(touristking @ Jan 23 2025, 10:52 AM)
GX is a Debit Card. Wise is a Credit Card. Both works fine paying for stuff oversea. Rates are both quite similar. But GX has 1% cash back so that is my 1st choice.

Wise will auto-convert which ever account having money and offering better foreign currency rate.

GX still offer about 2% daily interest on your balance.

Linked debit card and credit card to Alipay better than top up right?

QUOTE(Justmua @ May 25 2025, 04:25 PM)
I am travelling in China now. Surprisingly I can use my wife's Wise card to top up my Alipay balance. However, I can't do the same thing to transfer to hers.

Very peculiar issue. People seems to be able to transfer using Wise to my Alipay but not vice versa.

So, you can try it but be prepared that chances are higher that it will fail.

Can our wise app scan PayNow code in Singapore for payment like Touch n go ewallet? Need to find few options without carry much cash. TnG ewallet rate may not as good since got overseas transaction conversion fee. Got SC JumpStart Savings Account-i but think SC Mobile won't work on Paynow cross-border QR payment linkage between Malaysia (DuitNow QR) and Singapore.

Thanks for info. Yes saw some highlighted in some of my search result. Not all Malaysia banks support Paynow cross-border QR in Singapore too. Worst may use TnG ewallet, credit card which got % conversion fee charge as backup.

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Nov 12 2025, 09:33 PM)
Yes, Wise can now pay via PayNow QR.
However, be aware that some SG merchants are still using outdated QR (not PayNow QR) which only allow certain SG banks.
PayNow QR is like our DuitNow QR, which can accept more payment source.
