Is there a way to transfer the USD in my wife's Wise account to my Wise USD account? Message appeared that 'you are residing in Malaysia, either the source or your target currency must be in MYR'

QUOTE(leo2010 @ Jan 21 2022, 05:57 PM) ------------------------------------ That explains, now gotta send to MYR account then. ThanksTransfer money locally From 28 October 2021, there will also be some limitations if you’re sending money to a bank account in Malaysia. You’ll only be allowed to make transfers that involve MYR. This means that: If you are sending MYR from your account, you can send any currency to your recipient. If you are sending a currency that is not MYR from your account, you can only send MYR to your recipient. This change won’t affect international transfers. If you are transferring to a recipient account that is not in Malaysia, you can send from or to any currency — there are no limitations. ------------------------------------ Email notification from Wise previously. Could this be the reason ? |

Initially was ok in London but after awhile PIN and wave also can't go thru. Contacted their CS and they reset for me 3 times in a week and finally told me to get a new card. Had to use BigPay instead

Bad experience with BigPay. It's a debit card but upon return from overseas, balance in account show more than RM3K negative cos they said it was not captured upon my swiping/tap. It's still not settled till now(one mth) as they want me to dispute the transactions but my argument is it's a debit card, if there's no money in the account, I can't spend. I may have paid with other method for those transactions that they're claiming(more than 10 transactions). Can't recall as I was away for more than 1.5 month. Be warned

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Sep 28 2022, 09:10 AM) My personal experience is after a few big amount sent overseas they'll ask for your bank statement from where you fund Wise. They don't reply to your email but wont ask question for future transfer. No question on source of income. Same with Sunway Money too |

QUOTE(touristking @ Jan 23 2025, 10:52 AM) GX is a Debit Card. Wise is a Credit Card. Both works fine paying for stuff oversea. Rates are both quite similar. But GX has 1% cash back so that is my 1st choice. Wise is also debit cardWise will auto-convert which ever account having money and offering better foreign currency rate. GX still offer about 2% daily interest on your balance. |
