QUOTE(tadashi987 @ Jul 4 2022, 06:00 AM) yep second that, tried here in UK for a week, the contactless failed almost every single time, can't remember any successful wave even BigPay contactless succeeded more frequently than Wise card Hi, I'm going to UK next month. Would appreciate your advice . Did you face any issue using the WISE card for a) withdrawing pounds from ATM ? b) pay using PIN transactions ? Thanks

QUOTE(honsiong @ Sep 16 2022, 11:40 PM) I managed to withdraw GBP from Travelex ATM at airport but it costs RM 10 + GBP 3. BTW UK has gone pretty cashless, you dont need > GBP 50 cash per week per person IMO. Omg, RM10 & 3GBP is steep ! I thought its supposed to be free. Will avoid Travelex machine. Thanks for the advice on the amount of cash needed

QUOTE(honsiong @ Sep 17 2022, 04:11 AM) Eh my bad, RM 10 is by bigpay, but Travelex charged GBP 3 anyway. Try your luck finding free ATMs on tripadvisor forum? Since UK is pretty much cashless, I still advise against withdrawing cash there, just change a bit at mid valley. Okay, thanks for clarifying. I've changed some notes at money changer here already for standby purposes, so I should be good to go !

Hi, A company in US is reimbursing me USD 180 and requesting for my bank account details. Is it better to receive this via Wise USD account or to our local bank ? Anyone faced any issues receiving money transfer using Wise ? I'm worried my fund may get stuck. They are asking for bank name. Do I use the name in the Wise app (Community Federal Savings Bank) or Wise? Thanks.

QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Nov 14 2023, 11:45 AM) cheapest way to get it back in ringgit
- make sure Wise have already given u a bank acct info
- ask them to ACH to your US bank acct provided by wise
- after hours or couple of days, wait for U$ to be banked in
- convert to ringgit
- using your wise debit card, reload RM to your TnG ewallet/BigPay
Thanks so much ! Will do as advised.
