Hi guys, travelling to china soon and wanna know that whether wise has additional charge or not if:

1) Bind Wise card into Alipay with MYR balances in Wise account - if i pay in China, MYR will be deducted but will there be any conversion fees of 1+% showing up?

2) Bind Wise card into Alipay with MYR converted to CNY which already has conversion fee paid with some MYR balance - if i pay in China, which currency in my WISE account will be deducted first? CNY or MYR?

There are two types of TNG -
1) TNG Visa Card
2) TNG Ewallet x Alipay +

But both using different conversion rate + fee

But might wanna bind the card to Alipay app (Global/china) ?

Funny thing when i link my Wise Card into Alipay and the details of the card there say "TNG Visa"

Then i link my TNG Visa into Alipay later, the details shows "Wise card"

Just back from China and must say AliPay combo Wise Card (Provide you have exchange foreign money - CNY with good exchange rate) is good

TNG AliPay+ also good for small purchase as there is this RM0.99 voucher that provide you RM10 worth of cash back.

But wife forgot to ask merchant to separate into CNY200/ trax when she purchased a 300+ clothing where AliPay will charge extra 3% if exceed CNY200.01

My wife registered that one but never use, lol ...

I exchanged my CNY rate in WISE at 1.68~1.69 that time so just keep using AP + Wise combination

Also, there's this TNG promo also for 5% off (max capped CNY15) too which also not bad.
Last week rate for TNG mostly 1.60~1.61
