This one?

https://www.merchantrademoney.com/fees/

Does it also works as a debit card like WISE?

Says here only 1% transaction fee...big difference!

Yes. You can store money in it. But never used it personally. Waiting for your trip/revolut to expand to Malaysia. Also waiting for mymy to come out of beta.

Wow...2%?? I don't remember it this high...previously i used it to transfer USD and SGD overseas. Kanasai.

2% on quasi-cash transactions only.
Still good for normal transactions.

It's not just Malaysia, 5-10 of us also failed to wave in the Netherlands, had to use PIN. Maybe deswai it's a 4 digit PIN to make it easier to input 🌚

I tried today wave payment in 99 speedmart but failed. Even pin payment cannot be used... Wonder why?? I still have sufficient balance in the card

perhaps you can check with Wise support instead... I can only guess one of these problems:
- you haven't set your PIN > just set it on app
- keyed in wrong PIN > set it on again app
- you froze your card > unfreeze it on app
- faulty card > get replacement
- 99 speedmart machine doesn't accept Wise > sad.gif

Careful with using Wise, they deactivated me out of nowhere. Accidentally top up around 5.2k USD cause I was heading to Dubai in a very short notice, no problem spending there but got deactivated once i reached Malaysia. Somemore left around 4k USD ++ , have to deal with their bullshit

Malaysia wise cannot accept more than RM20k inside. USD5.2k clearly exceed that limit.

once I have RM40k when I travel to Rwanda on my Wise card. They just send email inform me that I have exceed limit.

there is no way they can deactivate the account without informing the account holder.

Possible. Crypto transaction/didn't reply to wise email etc. Real reason we won't know.

Security issue or money laundering suspicion. Wise cannot deactivate casually even if exceed limit.

Refers to buying non-currency tokens that can be later converted to cash.

some examples: Casino chips, cryptocurrency, money order, traveller's cheque, lottery tickets, betting tokens. Certain e-wallets are considered quasi-cash.

Without specific details, what you want to do isn't considered quasi-cash, but currency conversion since you're sending to banking/finance entities, so you won't get charged as quasi-cash

This is wrong, i just checked my email and apparently the exceed limit email was sent but went into my spam, no idea why. but they did quote about closing my account if i dont withdraw the excess. Although they say is seven days but apparently it was only 5 days, came back on the sixth.

That means if you setup this "external account", extra money will be transferred there automaticlly and you don't have to do anything and WISE won't take action on your account?

This is considered security issue (excess funds) due to compliance requirements for non-business accounts based in Malaysia. It's been part of their Terms and Conditions of account usage for some time.

Hmm, the wording is definitely different from my email. They just mentioned "you won’t be able to receive or add money to your Wise account until you’ve transferred the excess amount".
