My Wise account was suddenly deactivated after I made a dispute on a prior transaction. Anyone tried appealing and was successful before?

I searched online and read many horror stories of accounts deactivation.

Will be travelling overseas soon. Is it better to get a digital or physical wise debit card for overseas usage?

short answer, get a physical card

long answer, if you have a digital only card, you can't fallback to chip insertion for payment if the contactless payment method fails. At least with a physical card, you can insert the card and sign or enter the 4 digit pin

Hey guys, ran into a problem when trying to register for wise for the first time. When I get to the page where they ask for the phone number, it gives me an error message saying that my number has been blocked? Anyone encounter this problem before?

In Malaysia, some merchants forces user to pay by scanning their duitnow/qr code. In Japan, how do you pay with wise if this is the only way to pay?

Currently in Japan, cash widely accepted so are cards. Been using card and cash and face no problem.
Cash mainly some small food stalls. Cards accepted in many food places and shopping. Remember to buy suica card in Apple wallet and use wise to reload. No need to buy physical card or qr. I don’t see any Japanese paying by qr.

Suica just for transportation. Suica can be bought on Apple Pay, so use wise as your Apple Pay payment option to buy it. And top up as well. You can try now even on your iPhone now. Can google how to do it.

Pro tips: first purchase suica is min1000 yen. After getting suica card in apple wallet, you can top up any small amount you like, 100yen or so.
Wise for any pay wave transaction is fine at Japanese store. They more open to card payment compared to the last time I went there which was 6 years ago. Probably due to covid, they start to dislike cash as payment option.

Anyone has an idea what is the Payment limitations for Wise when using it through Google Wallet? Say if I want to pay RM 1000 - just need to key in PIN or how?
