Hey moderators, you've been doing a great job making sure this site stays healthy and productive. I have a minor suggestion to make your lives easier and to cut down on bandwidth. For instance, instead of having to constantly remind countless posters to add their WTS/WTB/WTT whatever, why not include the command in the posting page, that if no tag is added then the post cannot be accepted? Just like when we don't include a topic title, we are not allowed to proceed.

Usually it's because the status quo is easier to stick with

For WTS/WTB, I've been thinking of putting visual tags similar to the likes of this forum: http://forums.somethingawful.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=1 . Do you think they're readable?

Well, I'd say it's a good idea. Easier for forumer to have a glance through which thread is WTS or WTB.

I think another way to make it easier to read, is to promote the use of the actual words instead of acronyms. Like "BUY" if TS wants to buy something, and "SELL" if he is selling something. Example below:

(BUY) bla bla bla
(SELL) bla bla bla
(TRADE) bla bla bla
(ASK) bla bla bla
(RENT) bla bla bla

is easier to sift through than:

(WTS) bla bla bla
(WTB) bla bla bla
(WTT) bla bla bla
(WTA) bla bla bla
(WTRent) bla bla bla

because in the latter, only one alphabet separates the different threads (the first two alphabets are redundant since by posting a thread the original poster wants to "get something/do something") while the former has many different alphabets, so reading it is definitely easier, don't you think?

Here's another example but extrapolated:

(BUY) bla bla bla (WTS) bla bla bla
(BUY) bla bla bla (WTS) bla bla bla
(SELL) bla bla bla (WTB) bla bla bla
(BUY) bla bla bla (WTT) bla bla bla
(BUY) bla bla bla (WTS) bla bla bla
(SELL) bla bla bla (WTB) bla bla bla

How about, to make it even better, can have one colour for the Buy thread tags and another for the Sell tags?
