I have question regarding Canon G3010 (wireless). For example, if I'm using laptop, I connect my wireless to router for internet connection. If I want to print, is it that i must disconnect my wifi to my router and connect to the printer to print? It its like this, means my laptop will have no internet connection since I have disconnect from my router. Am I right?
Because I'm deciding to buy between Canon G2010 and G3010 (wireless)

The printer will connect to a router. You just need to connect to the same router if you want to use the printer.

If I connect it to the router, means I dont have to buy Canon G3010 (wireless) right? I can just buy Canon G2010 and connect the usb to my router

Your laptop connect to the printer through router. You can also use apps to print directly from handphone to the printer wirelessly. So, there is no question about needing to disconnect WiFi whatever.

I can just buy Canon G2010 and connect the usb to my router I use wireless printer too. Can remember the model. This way I can put my printer anywhere. It is on small table just printer footprint size. This way I can have more space on my table

I'm not sure is your router able to forward printing job via USB. some router can do this, but it may require firmware mod. Better get the wireless model. It's really convenient if you move your laptop a lot.

I think you mistaken the concept of Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. While both works wirelessly, both requirements are different.
Printer <-> Smartphone/ Laptop Wi-Fi Direct - Your smartphone/ Laptop connects directly to Printer like you would connect to a Wifi Access Point. In this case you find your printer in your Wi-Fi and connect to it with password.
Printer <-> Router <-> Smartphone/ Laptop Wi-Fi - This one you need to set up the printer to connect to the Wifi router. Then any wireless device smartphone or laptop that connects to your router wifi will be able to print.
Printer <-> Router(USB Printer Server port) <-> PC The last one uses the router USB port to act as a Print Server. This type of connectivity is used for printers that does not have LAN or WIFI connectivity. Major limitation is printer compatibility list. Usually you need to install a USB print server client software in PC first. Then install the printer driver and manually change the printer port that the print server assigns. It may or may not work depending on printer driver and print server software. So many probabilities to consider when using this route.

Meaning, you do not need to disconnect your wireless internet connections while you're browsing the internet and using a wireless printer to print a document simultaneously.
