If you are really gong to dismantle your ps3 and check to see the problem, then might as well throw in and upgrade the hard disk drive to a 120GB capacity.

So far for my ps3, no problems still (fingers cross) maybe since because i don't play much with it, currently still waiting very long for the MGS4 and GTHD (full edition)

Play it in an air conditioned room.

That should further help increase the hardware lifespan
