RB restructures VA without the Australia govt bailout = many job losses. He can cut as many jobs as the administration committee sees fit. Job losses?? Oh well they could join the dole queue.

TF wanting to restructure AA?? TF hasn't cut any jobs yet and seems salaries are still being paid. Why a bailout? Simple, any plans to cut cost must involve staff reduction something the PeNipu Govt is asking companies to avoid at all cost. Also comes with plenty of other protective measures.

TF may be a wealthy man indeed but that does not mean he is flushed with cash as much of it are probably in stocks and other assets that aren't so quick or easy to convert to cash. Also he could bring those assets to a bank and ask for collateral true but which bank is going to take on such a risk? A bailout here essentially requires a government guarantee for loans........ heck Proton had been bailed out for donkey years even times were good and bad but caused you nothing but misery of high car prices, you won't save an airline that brings in millions of tourist and supports millions of jobs?

You want AA to fail?? Sure.... how are you going to pay for KLIA2?? Do you know how much in airport tax AA collects? Are you all cool with all the ground staff of KLIA2 being made redundant? How about all the F&B outlets as well as all the other shops within that terminal shutting down? Nope, there isn't going to be another airline that could take up the slack in the near term and probably be a very long term before anything could happen.
