For me, no point of rushing buy 5G Smartphone.

I don't see Maxis, Celcom start promote 5G. What's the point of buy the 5G phone for now?

When 5G smartphone become mainstream and widely available, the price of the phone will go down.
And those that buy early sure feel regret.

Just wait for our telco to release and announce 5G data plan, then the price of smartphone will go down.

I won't buy 5G smartphone until telco release the data plan.

What the heck are you talking about?

Samsung malaysia giving you Exynos version for S20. Any idea what's the diff vs Snapdragon 865? Hell alot.
S20+ giving you 8/128GB for RM3899
Mi 10 giving you 8/128GB for RM2799

IPhone 11??? @ RM3K+ with only 3110mAh?
Small 6.1" screen?
And 4/64GB at RM3399????

You got problem a?
Don't just blindly look at brand ok.
And not only that they have decently evolved from cheap crappy devices to really good quality devices today.

Not everyone obsessed with large smartphone.
Iphone 11 with A13 chip can perform way better than Mi 10 that have higher ram

And better software support. Xiaomi with their software support is really a joke

you can use that comparison to any normal buyers out there

but some specific users, like me. know what we get and what are we expected to pay for

we are willing to pay that price as long as it is still reasonable to our wallet,
just for that pixel experience

you got problem with that?

Lol, this is expected since they separated Mi and Redmi.

Last time Mi flagship handicap by budget strategy, then they separate Mi and Redmi, now Redmi can get Snapdragon 800 series which was only mid range before.

So Mi is now to compete with flagships without cut cost limitations, and Redmi to replace Mi budget flagship as flagship killer.

People out there only saw 1 brand only, which is Xiaomi.
They don't give a damn about the brand separation.

And Xiaomi is known for its affordable/cheap smartphone. You can't take away the customer mindset on that.

Xiaomi put high price until RM4K also people will look down as a cheap brand.
