Lol, for a person wanting to become a world champ, he cannot whine if Fernando don't want to share. They are rivals, and Fernando has every right to do so.
@acougan: the money will go to the WMSC. It WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED to all the teams. that's why many were pissed off as that money was considered too much.

Alonso offered mechanic 650 each to belasah Lewis

Alonso Offers A Bonus Too Far
Fernando Alonso has been heavily criticised by the Mclaren team after it was revealed that he offered his mechanics £650 per man to beat Lewis Hamilton... The plan was to get him round the back of the motorhome before the Belgian GP and give him a good kicking

One of the mechanics, who asked for his name to be withheld was shocked at the offer. "Fernando's on £12m a year, you would have thought he'd offer a bit more than that."

Hard to say. They are the only 2 drivers to have 100% finishing record at all race this season. And Fuji will be new to everyone as well

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Sep 23 2007, 04:05 PM)
Ted Kravitz reckons an Alonso - Webber swap is possible for next year

While Ted Kravitz isn't the best F1 reporter (far from it) he does think that a Webber - Alonso swap is possible.  I've read a few reports that reckon Webber hasnt actually signed for red bull next year, he has an offer and he is expected to sign soon.  Kravitz has a point in saying that Mateschitz meeting with Alonso does carry some significance and with the Willis/Newey combination for next year RBR could be (a very outside) chance of producing a good car.

We've seen this year with Torro Rosso, Red Bull are willing to drop drivers rather quickly and if Alonso was on offer i'd image they'd be willing to pay out Webber or Coulthards contract.

As everyone prob knows, the whole driver market is frozen until we know where Alonso will be next year, much like how everyone was waiting for Raikkonen to sign for a team last year.

These stories get crazier by the day!!

Interesting  hmm.gif

As if McLaren wants Webbo XD. they can get a better younger driver if Fernando, who I feel is not moving does move.

QUOTE(EroS @ Sep 24 2007, 11:52 AM)
Massa negotiating with Toyota?

Further to the rumours that Ferrari could be courting Fernando Alonso for their 2008 driver line-up, Felipe Massa is reportedly in talks with Toyota about a possible switch next season.

The latest development in a story that has gathered pace since the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, the Daily Mail is reporting that plans are in place for Massa to be manoeuvred out of the Scuderia in favour of double World Champion Alonso.

Much of this rumour stems from speculation that Jean Todt could be ousted in a management shuffle at Ferrari, putting his son Nicolas, Massa's manager, in a precarious position within the team.
*
lol. Massa was courted into Ferrari long before he met with Nicolas. read his interview and you'll know that it was not because of Nicolas that he got the Ferrari drive.

Trulli is just a pot calling a kettle black. Toyota was handed some Ferrari infos by their former employees last season, so why was NOT HE KICKED OUT? Stupidity at it's best

depends. We still have the second free practice coming and usually they don't go flat out during the first practice as if they damage the car they will lose valueble testing time for the afternoon.
And Lewis needs just to finish 4th all the remaining races and he still cannot be catched by Kimi even if Kimi won them all. And considering that Brazil is looking likely to be a McLaren circuit than a Ferrari (bumpy and twisty, Ferrari hates that kind of circuits) it's hard to see him getting his first championship this season.

Max kimi can get is 12 point out of Lewis IF they finish that way. As he's still 13 points behind, it's not enough. But I never said Lewis will win the title did I? I only said Kimi cannot win it if the situation remained the same
and it seems Fernando is happy enough to stay at Macca

damn wrong calculations. And even Button said the same thing. I blame the ever changing point scoring for this
QUOTE(Jenson Button)
"But with Alonso and Lewis so close, there's a possibility that they're going to touch and that's the only way Kimi can win it really, because even if he wins every race and Lewis finishes fourth, he still can't beat him."

From what I see during the 3 qualifying phases, my pick of the race tomorrow will be Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Felippe Massa. While Lewis and Kimi outqualified their teammates, Fernando and Massa looks to have the consistency to put in fast laps time after time after time in the wets without trip across the gravel. And I do feel that looking how the car handles, Fernando and Massa are heavier, which is not much of a penalty on a wet track as you can use that to balance your car.

Heavy fuel = slow lap times.
*
It does not matter in the wet. You have a harder time handling a light car as it aquaplanes easier. A heavier car stops easier and don't aquaplane as much. Also you are much more confident in cornering. It's not even physics. It's just pure logic from everyday driving.
QUOTE(zeist @ Sep 29 2007, 08:38 PM)
So now talking about extra fuel in the machine, who has the better advantage ah?
*
Fernando. The laptimes he set during the fuel buring phase was consistent and fast if you watch the live timing on F1's official site. and so was massa. Kimi and Lewis? meh, they were fast on lap and slow the other. And I do feel that if Massa was not impeded by Nick, he could have gotten past Kimi
