REITs are shit, I worked in this area as an intern, commission 9-10% per transaction.
Fucking scam, at least on unit trust you can make money with Hwang and Kenanga; no way you can fucking make money in REITs.

Tax in REIT and PTF is 10%, final withholding tax is 28%, so generally transaction fee is 10% at least at the time around 07-09.
It is a total scam, people do it in Malaysia is just to offset their liability like how they play Sukuk.

PTF = property trust funds
Because they are considered ordinary income (from property) rather than property gain.
