what will be the SOP for gyms after mco?
1. max 1 person per 100 sq foot . gyms will limit max number of ppl inside at any one time. we need to queue outside and wait to enter, similar to markets now
2. need to wear latex gloves
3. need to wear mask.

People really need to understand wearing gloves doesn't minimise the spread of COVID-19. Once your hand touched any surface with bacteria/virus, it will spread to other surfaces your hand touches, gloves or without gloves.

Then touch our faces and wipe sweat I'd say... the most costly way to do this is standby a cleaner at every set of equipment ie. someone standby at treadmill area. whenever someone leaves the treadmill, he/she sanitizes the surface of the board then next user uses it. Then again, a lot of cleaners will be needed to standby around and yet machines need to be reduced (to ensure at least 1m apart). Cannot imagine queuing for workout frustrating

Not sure if gyms will do this but if I was the owner, I'd rather have people visiting the gym rather than an empty/closed gym

Not sure if gyms will do this but if I was the owner, I'd rather have people visiting the gym rather than an empty/closed gym That's the only way to ensure prevention I guess? If they had left it unattended for the next user, say, Mr B to be responsible enough to sanitize equipment himself before using, what if Mr B isn't hygienic enough to do it? All it takes is Mr A who used it beforehand, to be an asymptomatic person and had his sweat & sneeze all around the equipment then this branch will have to be closed several days for sanitisation (another cost) if Mr B is tested positive after that. Just running a scenario. Ultimately have to see how the gyms gonna handle this hahaha

Prevent is better than cure Later gym centre will be the one that got the blame haha

I guess places like schools, churches, cinemas, gyms, museums won’t open anytime soon after MCO.
