Both come from diffrent village in Guang Dong province of coz it diffrent.
Hokkien in SG, Penang, Taiwan also sounded different.

Not really

Your so called "sounded different" is like 1% of the words only which is mainly slang, etc. (aka it hardly matters)

For example:
You are an idiot if you use "mata" (mata-mata or police in BM) in Standard Canto or speaking to foreign friends. Do not go full retard.
You are an idiot if you use Manglish or Singlish speaking to foreign friends.

I bet you never speak to anyone from different countries in same language.
