Free but with contract.  brows.gif

Even got contract, but still giving a device for free of "trash"..
I rather prefer contract but free with "useful" device.

If TM is giving Deco M4 as the free bundled router, that'll be a really good move on their part. They can save a lot of tech support costs too. Even one-pack also good then subscribers are free to add their units.

hope is factory unit firmware, not TM firmware lol

Oh sounds good. I tot must setup 1 m4 as router the other as ap.

So if dont touch the black router, setup 1 m4 as ap then put upstairs will the coverage be the same as i setup 1 m4 as router and the other as ap. Sorry ask all this question this is 1st time i setup mesh network

Actually don't have to worry, just take photos and disconnect the black router and put it aside. Then setup the M4s.

Worse case if it doesn't work, you just connect back the old router. It'll be such a waste not to use one of the M4s as the router.

The TPLink Deco app is also very well done. Just follow the app's instructions when setting up the Decos. It should be quite achong09 proof. smile.gif

The paid unit that I received is regular TPLink firmware but I think given enough TIME, I think TM will probably put their own customised UniFi version especially if it's a free set.
