any solution from your end? i having issue that robot reverse move and mention collision sensor stucked.. LOL check multiple times and no issue and clear path..

It seems the problem resolved by itself. The robot no longer frequently reverse. You can try reset the robot and unpair and reinstall app. That was the thing I did.

it just started to went crazy after i clean compartment, changed side brushes and air filter.. it went backward and crash to anything then pop up collision sensor error.. gently tap or whatever method.. still behave the same.. cant even remote control as it will pop up wheel stucked or whatever.. something locked by itself..

My Mi Robot 1C keep colliding with all my furnitures despite I have turn on my lights.

All the chairs, table legs and sofa legs all crashed by the robot every time while vacuum. Reset the maps 2 times already. Nothing changed.

feels like the robot doesn’t even slow down and straight away crash to the furniture.
My next robot vacuum should have LIDAR.

Since this is the first time

I have both the S6 MaxV and the 1C.  Bought days apart around the 27th of August 2020.

The S6 MaxV with LIDAR is much superior (of course costs a lot more as well) and maps out the rooms much faster.  The laser maps out the room without needing to travel all the way to the end to find the wall.
The vacuuming and mopping are good and consistent and the obstacle avoidance is better and water tank is bigger.  Can do 2 or 3 rounds before I need to fill up water.
For bigger houses, would recommend this.  I do not have carpets so cannot comment on this part.  Also a lot of intelligent features that youtube reviews cover, so will not go into that.
Also support for multiple floor maps, so that saves time as the unit recognizes floors already mapped and does not need to do the mapping everytime.

Experience with 1C, much cheaper and bought it for my hard flooring to try out since much cheaper.  Much slower to map as needs to traverse to the end of the wall to sense it.
Water tank much smaller but enough to mop a few rooms with the lowest or medium setting.  However, after 4 weeks, I noticed that the water does not come out well and mopping is not effective.
However, after 4 weeks, I noticed that the water doe not come out well and mopping is not effective.
Probably the water pump is not working or air inlet is blocked somehow.  Need to get it looked at but haven't had the time.
Vacuuming is still decent and picks up a lot of dust and debris.  However, I find it is susceptible to have hair entangled in the side brush and rollers. Something that has not happened with the S6 MaxV.

[Updated] The issue with water not coming out is that the air inlet valve is blocked somehow.  Not sure how that can happen.  Need to open the water tank inlet to let release the trapped air pressure.

My experience with both is that it is worth spend the difference, if you can afford it, to get the features and reliability.
The S6 MaxV has been vacuuming and mopping every night without fail since I purchased and does a real good job on the hard marble floor.
The 1C mopping feature failed after just 4 weeks, albeit temporarily until I figured out the problem, and this also I did not schedule mopping every day and without obstacle avoidance have to make sure the floors are clear.
For the price, I think it does a decent job.

I would think the S5 Max would perform similarly to the S6 MaxV except without the cameras for the AI based object recognition.
Hope that helps.

Just want to share with you all the solution I used to fix clogged water tank due to use of disinfectant/detergent.

I figured out my tank is clogged and notice that it might because the tank motor is not powerful enough (when running with robot) to push the blockage out from the hole, so I fill up the tank with some clean water first and then get a 12V dc battery and manual connect to water tank using a cable, obviously the motor is running better and manage to release water again. Repeat to run the tank motor until you feel the blockage has been cleared.

Tested the mop function and it's working again, save money from buying a new water tank wink.gif

Guys,

I bought this unit a while back and just opened the box today. Only found out that its China version. I can't connect to my mi home as my app is set to Malaysia. I've tried to change to Chinese mainland but it failed to connect.

Any way to connect the unit to the app?

After 2 years, I think either the battery is degraded to the point of no return or the charging dock is faulty. It's no longer being charged. Is there anyone here with similar experience?

I brought it from Dasher (Lazada) so I can send to them for repair. I think you can DIY by following YouTube video on how to change battery

So which sensor actually went faulty bro?
I'm having this issue currently, it always move in reverse. Even manual control also unable to control the movement as if like it detecting a wall in front
