got 1 since feb this year, below is my thought:

1. ecosystem - easily integrated with xiaomi home (if you are into it), just make sure the version you get is global or malaysia, otherwise other devices wont appear in your app due to different region.

2. Cost - definitely there's alot robot vacuum in the market, some might even cheaper than this, your call

3. Functionality - got map management (still in beta), dont have intelligent way of avoiding stuff, in the end you still need to move small obstacle otherwise it gonna stuck

4. Cleaning power - definitely powerfull, no issue on carpet* (depends on thickness), downside is if you using with mop it will vacuum and mop the carpet together (might be good or bad depending on your reason why need to wet the carpet)

5. Reparability - this is one of the reason why i bought it, parts easily available online from both our local market as well as international, lots of tutorial online

6. Downside - battery on turbo in my case only cover 300+ sqft in one charge, no lidar support, so it always bump first and avoid later. Need good lighting to operate better but still function. In my case, all of these got no issue

7. Support - didnt test this one yet, dont think xiaomi (mijia) malaysia will even bother since this product is not officially launch here

8. Conclusion - quite satisfied with what they offer, just need to make sure place this away from small kids from play with them. As long as it do the task 80% better than me while saving my time consider good investment.

Nice review, everything still functional well? How to drain the remaining water in the tank or just leave it there until next time?

No issue so far, for the water tank depends on what solution you put inside, if it may yield any residue better clean every time you finish using it.
Easy way is always do cleanup after using.

i did add a cap of dettol antiseptic liquid, but it does not confirm give proper cleaning but at least better than just plain water

always clean up the tank if you does not plan to do any mopping within a week

Hi, good day to you all..i'm new here and need some suggestion.
I am planning on buying a robot vacuum to do sweeping job only. No need the mopping function. Glad if you guys can share some reliable brands for this.

Thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

Initially, budget is around Rm500-1.5k ๐Ÿ˜Š..but from the reading here, as i can get a robot with sweep+mop function at around rm1.5k, guess i can get a better bargain with only sweep function at around rm1k? hopefully.

I will just do the mopping myself once a week๐Ÿ˜…

Budget lidar vacuum xiaomi mi robot (2016) can get rm700+ from china or rm850+ from local, can only save 1 map. Or upgraded version lidar+visual xiaomi mijia 1s rm1k+ from local, can save multiple maps.

Less intelligent visual only mijia 1c is worth it also if you use only vacuum, smaller battery and save only 1 map. Can get RM 600-700 locally, anything cheaper than mijia 1c you can only get dumb gyroscope robot, which bang bang bang a lot on your furnitures.

Theres a review in this forum for roborock s50.. which written very detailed and well thought out.

I bought the s55 last Aug around 1.5k and I'm very satisfied with it.

I have only use the mopping function twice.. because mopping need me to be there so i prefer not to use it..

I didnt realise, the mop function its way better and its more cleaner than just the vacuum function. Lol

Have been using only mop function since June 2020.

Every morning fill the water container, clean the mopping cloth and let it run. Came back in the noon, clean the cloth and let it run again.

So i only like mop the house once/twice a month with other house chores cleaning..

Heard lots of good reviews of roborock, i suppose it can clean most of the stains if used daily right? And water tank much better than mijia 1c/mop pro which have water leaking problem, cannot leave there after mop

Mine not leaking, instructions and app always say remove mop when charging because afraid leaking. Mijia mop pro leaking is more common due to bad design, but the mopping is good.

But anyone can share how to define area?
Like living room, bedroom, etc?

Thanks!

Can't do that, need xiaomi lidar robot only can. Mijia 1c, g1 and mi robot 2016 only can save 1 map.

Hi..i've reread all replies on this topic to understand better and i've search online for a comparison between the xiaomi mijia 1s and mijia 1c that @andrwss suggest (btw, thanks andrwss).

Mijia 1s does fulfill my need for the sweeping only purpose, but the downside is that the bin capacity is smaller as compared to mijia 1c ๐Ÿ˜….
If im not mistaken, someone has post about buying the mijia 1s here, have yet to ask how well it perform.
Btw, here's the link to my finding๐Ÿ‘‡

xiaomi mijia 1s vs 1c comparison

And since the price of mijia 1s is around rm1k, which is quite close to roborock s5 pricing, some comparison between these two here๐Ÿ‘‡

xiaomi mijia 1s vs roborock s5

Might just go with mijia 1s if i can get it @<rm1k..

only read the last 2 pages,

i own a couple of roborock s5 max
bought for my parents and my other places.

the cheaper xiaomis work just as good, lacking some features but its main functions, tracking i would say on par.

tho, i remember the 1c has one brush on one side, which was a turn off for me.

still waiting for xiaomi to bring the dustbin feature like the roomba irbot. the goal is to have less work.

I might...it's really tempting with all the good reviews though..

For now, i'll just eyeing for xiaomi mijia 1s..lets see if can get it at a good price..not in a rush, will still compare the specs

@Blinklime....guess roborock s5max performs really well for you to own a couple of it ๐Ÿ‘

Decision decision....
Sorry all for the double posting tho..still try to adapt
