I would say iPhone 11 Pro should be the best fit due to the main concern of mine would be the size and weight but look at the price tag though. Can still wait for iPhone 12 since rumor telling there will be a cheapest non-Pro version with 5.4" display and dual camera (i wish its ultra wide)

Heard its about 700 EURO, that is definitely cheaper than current iphone 11. Hopefully it is true, but not sure how they going to scale with iphone 11 price after that.

probably discontinued ip11? my opinion apple will probably discontinue last gen ip after new gen release due to their series already cover all segment of price. bfr this ip release will make last gen reduce price due to they still have slot for low price segment. now with release se 2020, mybe we can see se2020 with lower price/ip11 take over 2k segment price while xr discontinue when new gen release later or discontinue ip 11 series or new series will not have mny storage option for each non-pro.

If you going for the rm1999 then yes no brainer, but when you step up to the 128gb or 256gb, there’s many android phones worth more for your money than this with top of the line processor like the galaxy s10 lite or note 10 (now going for rm2899), or even oneplus 7t and oneplus 8.

Now Apple users can’t claim resale value as a buying point anymore. First time I see Apple canabalizing it’s own products.

As someone who buys too many phones, I would say that "resale value" should never be a consideration when it comes to purchasing phones, but in general Apple phones still have better value as the street price (i.e. the lowest price you can find from online or offline sellers) is not much lower than the RRP as opposed to say Samsung, with their S20 series obtainable at RM700 cheaper off RRP within two months of launching.

The iPhone 8 is an older product and Apple just wants to kill it off. But I do agree the SE will cannibalise their own product - the iPhone XR which is still available officially on their website. It's got better battery life than the new SE, but the SE has the newer processor and almost identical camera and is cheaper.

S10lite is using processor from 2017. New se is using the latest and most advance Apples processor.
