Even if the technology becomes available, can you afford the bandwidth? In other words, think of how much you have to pay the telco for subscription to a multi gigabit line. Streamyx 1 MBps already RM88/month... smile.gif

Understood. If you're talking about data transfer from one mobile phone to another (like using bluetooth) then yes this tech would be fantastic. Doesn't even have to be mobile phone, I imagine this tech can be implemented in wi-fi devices too right? In this case does telco infra come into play? Wouldn't it just be dependent on the device?

The next bottleneck would be the speed of the storage device. Can any hdd or memory card read/write at 15GBps yet?
