Hi all,

Just one fine day, my phone no longer have internet. no LTE displayed. just says H but cant load anything at all. I am on MaxisOne Prime and mine line is a shared. I tried everything. not my phone's (i use PIxel 2 xl) prob because i popped in a different sim (the other shares) no prob. brought my sim to other phones, no internet. Called Maxis and they suspect my sim has faulty. With much difficulty I got a replacement because i am not the primary line owner but only to find out still the same prob. called Maxis again, spent almost 2 hrs troubleshooting but same prob. they said over at their side everything seems normal and fine. even reset my line. so they concluded that maybe the new sim is also faulty. but what are they chances. they asked me to go get another sim. but now having more roadblock and stricter. i will be more problem for me to get to any centers. this has been going on for 3 weeks already!!

Anyone else has experienced this before? any advice? thanks

from the story it seem your sim is faulty. btw can you make outgoing call, or receiving call from others

I believe it could be your phone's network configuration is out of date, as Maxis quite often reconfigure their network.....

Thus, assuming you're still able to make calls and receive SMSes, you could try the following...

1. Get Maxis to send out an SMS (to your phone number) that will help reconfigure your phone (Pixel 2 XL) to receive signal on their network.

2. Call the Maxis service personnel guided you to manually reconfigure the network connection settings in your phone.

I used to face the same issue like yours as well, thus doing the above 2 have helped solved my data issue.

Yeah i can make and receive calls. everything else except internet seems fine. guess i am that unlucky to have gotten a faulty replacement sim? and the original sim is rather new too, got it in Dec 2019.

Thanks. yes i can receive and make calls. When i was on the phone with maxis, they walked me through resetting network and also configured APN (reset to default and also manual). are those the one you mentioned? if it is a setting issue, wouldnt it also affect the other maxis sims i put into my phone?

Yes... because those settings will only rule out any setting problems with your phone.

Have you tried with another MAXIS simcard? Does it have the same no-data-issue?

Even if with the updated settings, if you're still unable to connect and have Data, that means the problem could lie with Maxis.

Then the other possibility could be a fault occurred at a nearby Maxis's network tower.

Thus, you might need to call them up and report a Network issue in your area.

They will (or not, depends on MCO) perform remote troubleshooting on a cell tower nearest to you; then decide whether to dispatch a service team over to rectify it (if its a cell tower issue).

Under the same contract we have the primary and 4 share lines. i tried those sims in my phone and i have data with those line. I placed my sim in their phone, no data. the other lines have data even in same area. i have tried in other areas also no data. because of that they said should not be a coverage issue. i cant seem to understand what is the cause too.
