Disclaimer: The following comments are from my personal experience and thoughts. I have no ill intention towards any religion or people of certain religion.....so okie dokie...on with the story.

This incident was what started my interest in Demonology and it's also one of the most terrifying experiences in my life (after this incident I've been reading up a lot on Demons). This happened back when I was around 2o year old, I was still in Uni and during the Sem breaks, I will on and off help my sifu with stuff, from something as menial like assembling a bookcase he bought to assisting him when people request for his help (he has a few other disciples but everyone has a day job, so not everyone will be around at the same time)

It was a Friday so I was looking forward to a night session of lepakking with my ex Form 6 schoolmates. 9.30am I received a call from my sifu ask me to go over to help him (maybe because I am the only one that is free). So drove my very old Toyota KE70 wagon to my sifu's place. Greeted my Sifu and he ask me to pack some stuff, Salt, Rice, and one really big Takrut that he left on the table. I've never seen the Takrut before. So my Sifu drove us to this area where normally a lot of rich people stay, and we stop at the front gate of one of the bungalows in that area.

Coming down from the car, I immediately felt the urge to run away. Like...really run, like "Run fat boy..run like you've never run before" kinda feel. My sifu say my face and told me "Everything will be ok, now, the Takrut you pack just now, wear it now so that it touches your skin, so I hung the takrut on my neck inside my T-shirt. The Takrut felt very heavy..like I'm wearing a suit of armour. My sifu told me, "Later we will meet a young girl, she is in trouble and we are here to help. Later there will be her relatives there, but they won't be able to hold her down, your job is to hold her down while I do my job, with the Takrut you are wearing, you are protected and you can hold her down"

I took a deep breath and said ok. So we rang the bell and this Uncle opened the door. We went into the bungalow and there were a few people there, 3 guys and another auntie which i assume is the wife of the uncle. The 3 guys are the elder brother of the little girl. Seems that this is a Catholic family as I see a small statue of Mother Mary at the living room. So the auntie greeted us and then she guided us upstairs to one of the room. The 3 brothers were also following. From outside the room, I can felt enormous pressure. I can feel that something is in there that was Pure Evil and Hatred. My Sifu ask me to give him the bag with the packed Salt and Rice and he grap the plastic, opened them and grab a handful of salt and put it in his pocket, then another handful of rice and put it in the other pocket. His words before going into the room was "Do not be afraid, you are protected, we are going to save the little girl today and it is your fate to help"

The auntie opened the door and we entered the room. When coming into the room suddenly the immense pressure was gone. In the room was a reading table with a PC, a clothing cabinet and a bed. There was a Cross on the wall diretly above the bed, and on the bed was the girl, I think she's about 15-17 years old, and she was staring at us smiling. She greeted her mom and her brothers and ask who are these 2 strangers (she meant me and my situ). The auntie then look at my sifu and said "This is what "It" does, we have had the Priest (I assume she meant Catholic Priest) come here to do blessing and this was how "It" always tries to fool everyone". (the conversation was in Mandarin)

My sifu spoke to the girl "Let's not waste time, we were able to see and sense your presence, hiding from us is not use, we know you are here". The girl replied "Uncle, I don't know what you are talking about". Then my Sifu took outa small dagger, this dagger also I've never seen before, but I know the handle is made from very old amulets crushed and formed into the handle and the metal probably is "lek lai" and he touch the tip of the dagger on the bed. The girl suddenly growled and the face was still smillnig but she talked without movied her mouth "This does not concern you monk, our business are with the lamb of Christ". It was a very low growly voice, and it was when she finished her sentence that suddenly, there was a darkness that envelope half the room. The immense pressure was back, I blinked at that moment and from the girl now I saw the "thing"'s real form. it was very hard to describe, but i knew at the moment, I wanted to throw up, and the smell was terrible. Feelings of fear, disgust, sadness was seeping into me, then my Sifu just tap me on the forehead and I just returned back to my normal self.

My Sifu started to negotiate with the thing...what would it take for it to leave this girl alone, of course then the thing spouted all these cuss words and say this girl is mine, I will never let her go. So my Sifu grab some salt from his pocket, touched it with the blade of the dagger and blew into it then threw the Salt at the girl. Seems the salt has a burning effect. Then next was the rice, so my sifu kept on throwing salt and rice at the girl until the darkness retreated. The girl basically screamed in pain all the while. When the darkness retreated, the girl slump down and went still. It felt like only a few seconds, but actually half and hour has passed by.

I said to my situ "Something is not right...still can feel that the thing is here..." My sifu said yes, it's trying to hide from us. Then my sifu suddenly use the dagger he was holding to stab the Cross that was on the wall on top of the bed. Black liquid started to flow from the center of the cross. My sifu ask me faster take the balance of the salt and rice, empty it into the yellow bag that I bought with me, and hold the bag open, my sifu basically hammered the dagger into the wooden cross then took the cross with the dagger jutting out from it and threw it inside the bag. I then close the strings of the bag. The atmosphere in the room immediately change back to normal. The girl opened her eyes and started crying asking her mom what was going on. We left the room and went downstairs. The Uncle was waiting downstairs and when he saw my Sifu, he ask my Sifu how was it, my sifu replied that everything is settled, but now don't have time to talk, need to faster go back to the temple to follow up on the thing inside the bag. So we drove back to the temple, and at 6pm, my teacher's other disciple got of work and came to help him. Before I left, I returned the big takrut to my situ. My sifu say he almost forgot, this takrut will protect me but can only use for a short while as it's too strong for me to stand. The takrut left a mark on my chest like when you go sunbathing and you left a book on your chest so end up a shape  of the book if left on the chest.

I also told my situ, during the moment just before you tap my forehead, I was feeling very scared, disgusted and sad, and I think I manage to glimpse for a while what was the thing. My sifu then ask me what I saw. I told him I saw people who was still living in jungles and they were some sort of civilization, with small pyramids built maybe as place of worship as I also say the jungle people was making life human sacrifice to something that they were praying to. Then I saw an image of the same jungle people but this time, some more advance people on horseback with flintlock rifle attacking the jungle people, either killing them or imprisoning them and they were after the gold that these jungle people had. My sifu said probably what I saw was some memories of the thing, and ask me maybe just do some research.

So I started to search the internet (during that time still the 56k dial up modem ar) so it took me sometime, but then I found out probably the jungle people were the Aztec or Incans who made human sacrifice and prayed to these Demigod. Then came the Spanish Conquistadors who invaded them, took their gold, converted them to Christianity or killed those who won't. My deduction would be why a lot of time Demons don't seem to bother people that are not from the Abrahamic religions is due to this kind of things happening.

To explain it in easier terms, these beings, the Demigods, they were enjoying the adulation of the Aztec and Incans, they are given fresh human sacrifice, suddenly come another factor, took their people away, took away their adulation, took away the sacrifice that they were enjoying and now their people also betrayed them by now praying to the God in Christianity. So these Demigod, these beings of course will be extremely pissed off with the faction that took everything away from them. Hence unit now they are still looking for payback.

The story is a bit long, but I am very glad I finally got it off my chest. Even my mom don't know this happened, because me and my sifu never told her.

Not to judge or make sweeping assumptions, but honestly, certain religions have probably made quite a few "spiritual enemies" with the very black and white way they view things. The way you described the Aztec / Incan deity's revenge against followers of the Abrahamic religions? Textbook example. One actually wonders whether these deities / beings were even originally evil in the first place, or whether their current form now has been "shaped" by the process and history they have been viewed by others and how their followers have been treated.

What I am trying to say is that if you treat me as a demonic being, and you wipe out my followers and devotees because you think they are devil worshipers or not following the "correct" religion, why wouldn't that corrupt me and turn me into something that I originally wasn't?! Even demigods / semi-divine beings are not fully free of the karmic cycle just yet.

But meh, honestly, between the demon who take possession of one or two lives at a time, and conquistadors who wiped out millions of souls "just because".... I know who are the true devils in this case.....

Well, if you think human sacrifice is not evil, there is no further discussion. Conquistadors could be evil in their greed, but human sacrifice is evil too.

okay la reading everyone's story tempted me to share my story. especially the last one about lights going off one by one.

this is back in 2009 / 2010 i think. went to singapore camp christine for a buddhist camp. The camp is well known to be haunted as my peers in the camp told me it's one of the first location the japanese landed when they were invading SG. Every night one of the faculty will bring some participants to one of the dorm further away to experience some stuff.

One night while i was waiting for my turn to be brought to the dorm, i was lingering nearby the dorm where the facilitators were sleeping. i was minding my own business when all of a sudden the lights on the walkway turned off all at once and turned back on one by one. Now bear in mind the facilitators were bringing people to the dorm to "experience" the paranormal so i thought one of them must be pranking me. I looked to my right and there's the light switch. Nobody was near me at that time.

Of course la maybe someone has control to another switch somewhere but how they can turn on the lights one by one. shitbrix after that and went back to main dorm to gather with everyone else. Turns out they suspended the "experience" thing as they heard a cry that is a mixture of animal and human. According to them that is not normal and they do not want to proceed anymore for everyone's safety. One of the facilitators also said he saw a dark shadow standing behind the camp doctor with fiery red eyes and that was one of the reason they aborted the entire thing too.

this should be the area where i experienced the lights turning off in the entire walkway and turning on one by one. i remember sitting on the metal handrail and i dont see any other metal handrail on other dorms.

Currently swamped with a major project and 2 newborn babies that are stuck in NICU, both are fine and can breathe on their own but a bit underweight. Bloody pain as for me to be anywhere near them I need to go through a showering and disinfecting process, be in protective gear and wear a breathing apparatus as I'm allowed to breath in the air in the hospital but the air exhaled has to be stored in a bag which is then released outside. Can't use any electronic devices while in there as these can't be brought into that area even.

Hope things will calm down a bit in the next few weeks but most likely won't be able to carry any of them for at least 100 days. Feel so strange can't even carry or touch my own babies and could only see them through 3 layers of plastic and glass.

Thankfully the mummy is fine, no complications this time round and is recovering well.
