Honor currently unleashed its first ever edition for laptop. Any expert would like to recommend this? For a budget student, is it worth it?

Nothing wrong with Huawei & Honor laptop, but normally owner complain about battery not really long last. If the price reasonable I think no problem about performance & support.

Well, the price is quite reasonable for me, but i do curious about the performance of Huawei and Honor brand. Besides, iam not familiar with AMD brand, what is the standard if compared to Intel Core? Similar to I5?

I read somewhere it is comparable to i5-8250U

have you buy it? if not I'd say for overall spec and value this honor magicbook worth more than huawei matebook d15.. just my opinion based on review i watched.

I havent buy it. I am quite attracted to its spec but worry about its performance, since it is the first edition for Honor if I am not wrong. Matebook d15 is not bad too, how can u conclude this o ne is better?

for the same price, honor give more value with more storage, and also can get great freebies. I believe in term of build quality both honor and huawei offer similarly.

Honor magicbook is value for money, this notebook is good enough for most people. VERY GOOD for now. However I think there will be a range of newer notebooks with Ryzen 4000, which is next gen coming in few months time, this gen of CPU performance 8 cores double current gen. Price will be competitive because it's AMD.

Do you guys think that the webcam is pretty bad?

webcam is average. nothing good or bad about it.

I have to say that for me the webcam is bad compared to other laptops I have used. Resolution is sub par and image quality is like those of bad vga cameras in the past - grainy and inaacurate color.

Speakers : honor magicbook : 2 upward speaker 2 down firing speakers (4 speakers ) | huawei matebook : 2 down firing speakers only

Colour : honor magicbook space grey | huawei Matebook: silver ( space grey looks nicer for me )

Webcam : honor magic book : place at the top of the screen | huawei matebook : Place weirdly angle at the Keyboard

If same price at rm2299 , honor magicbook u get 512GB ssd with ryzen r5 3500u ~ Huawei at rm2899 only u get 512GB ssd but you’ll get ryzen R7 3700u

Problem is ryzen 7 vs ryzen 5 , both performance very similar . Because it’s running at 15Watt . Means even u get r7 , but due to 15Watt setting , the performance Difference are really not much

Someone I know used it and so far, I see no complaints. I've tried it and there is nothing groundbreaking with the laptop but there is also nothing wrong with it.

The Honor Magicbook is definitely a great value buy and I may be getting it for work in the future.

thanks for viewing , for a long time i didn't do any review for a laptop , even for the macbook pro i bought few months back that cost rm5499 didn't hype me up for a review

i'm sure your daughter will enjoy it as much as i do , the 4 speakres it's gonna be a plus for music & work / study
yup , the value is what really stands out here , i mean for 2.2lk with decent specs & full aluminum body , if u compare around like asus , acer , lenovo , dell .. most of them offer plastic body which i really stay away due to the durability , looks and color fading on the plastic .

no doubt the magicbook its a good workhorse with really good build .

I shiver everytime I hear the word ACER. Aku CEpat Rosak. Even Honor's alum body feels damn good.

LOL~ for me its the same too , i've owned 2 acer laptop and my gf owned 1 , 2x acer aspire , 1x acer travelmate ...

the build quality is just bad and the screen/display, 2 of my acer aspire have screen problem , dead pixel , green line ....

so now i stay far far away from acer

Anyone knows anywhere still have stock for Honor magicbook?

Hi. I just bought this laptop just over a month. But i am faced with these display issues where sometimes on browsing on chrome or videos and while opening excel spreadsheet, appear green pixelated and bars. Anyone faced too or know what to do? What ive done was sending it to honor /huawei service center, got it checked and they simply updated the driver, claiming it completed. After retrieving, the problem still remain.

Is this hardware problem? Graphic card? Mainboard? Or simply software driver? Because it only happens sometimes and randomly. Thanks
