Model: MacBook Pro 15 inch 2017 version

I bought this MacBook in July 2017. I think my MacBook may face the staingate issue... can anyone help me to identify? Besides, my MacBook also faced the flexgate issue which the display fails completely once the machine is open to a certain angle, approximately 40 degrees, and has an uneven lighting at the bottom of the screen. I saw many posts said I can get a free screen replacement if I have the staingate issue, is it true? But the problem is my MacBook has both flexgate and staingate issue, is the free screen replacement program applicable for my MacBook?

It’s not under Apple care. But if your MacBook faced the anti reflective coating issue, they will change the display for free. But my problem is my MacBook has both flexgate and staingate issues, i just want to know whether it’s covered or not.

i have a mbp 15 2015, screen stained as well, battery bloated, and that time the machine still under applecare ( until mid 2019 ), then talked to the support online, made appointment and able to get screen and battery replaced for free, even fixed my speaker for free as well.

i tot the AppleCare is only 1 year. I bought my machine in July 2017, then my Apple care should be until 2021 right?

AppleCare Protection Plan are additional warranty coverage that you pay extra to get 2 more year coverage from the standard 1 year. You must register your Mac before the first year expired.

For the coating issue you can try contact Apple if they still offer free replacement. They used to offer it for unit affected and within 4 years of purchase. This has nothing to do with warranty. Apple do it as quality recall.
