 How old is your monitor?

Just want to know the average lifespan. I have an old Dell 2209WA where it is not as white as it used to be. Just wanna know how long the CCFL will last.

normally 3 years max.

i had one with CCFL, kong exactly at 3 years - the screen become super dim.

upgrade and get a proper LED screen.

All my old Dell CCFL monitors already kaput. Either the CCFL burned out or the LCD melted. Replacement panels cost more than a new monitor.

Might repurpose the stand as something else later.

Currently, I'm repurposing an old iMac G5 into a TV. The LCD is perfect. Only the innards faulty. I already ordered the LCD driver board from eBay. Around RM 200 shipped.
