Just want to know the average lifespan. I have an old Dell 2209WA where it is not as white as it used to be. Just wanna know how long the CCFL will last.
How old is your monitor?

All my old Dell CCFL monitors already kaput. Either the CCFL burned out or the LCD melted. Replacement panels cost more than a new monitor.
Might repurpose the stand as something else later. Currently, I'm repurposing an old iMac G5 into a TV. The LCD is perfect. Only the innards faulty. I already ordered the LCD driver board from eBay. Around RM 200 shipped. |
