hahah... i just watched the dvd last week... made me want to watch the wedding singer all over again

this my favorite 80's pop song... check out the guitar licks at the back... awesome tone... it's a shame that the guitarist died a few years back... always wanted to see him play the song live...

lol, can anyone tell me why drum snares in 80s pop songs always have to sound like that? "TUSH!" "TUSH" lol u know what i mean? I always wondered. Its like the snare went inside a bottomless pit lol.

bands like bon jovi during the 80's and 90's .... hmmmm ... let me think ... how bout Poison, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Skid Row, GnR, etc ... tight leather pants, pouting lips and overdo hair .... hehehehe ... but they did produce real good music tho ...

What are their best songs?

MOST 80s pop bands uses synth drums instead of real acoustic drums......
And MOST Metal bands that time have a keyboardist........

Electronics was the new fad in that era.......

But I'm thinking of getting my own keyboard/keypad combo like the Axiom...... that is if I want to be involved in music production.

Well back in the 90s you had the Spice Girls with good hits like Wannabe, 2 Become 1, Mama. They started to suck with "Spice Up Your Life", the chorus sounded as though the songwriters didn't have any idea.

Then you've got Boyzone (noticed nobody mentioned this boyband earlier in previous posts), which I find has much better songs than N Sync or 98 Degrees and what not.

Then of course there's Alanis Morrisette's (Jagged Little Pill) which is an awesome alternative rock album, which I'm sure everyone likes! There's that one hit wonder 'b****' by Meredith Brooks (was that her name? kinda forgot lol).

Other than that, don't know what else to recommend already, Gloria Estefan kot.
Or that Tony Rich Project song 'Nobody Knows', jiwang giler, from the 90s as well I think.

They not sux, I particularly love both their album. The first album from M2M is a bit teen-ish, but the 2nd album is more mature.

Marion have a very powerful voice and I really love her first album (Here I Am), all the songs (except At The End Of The Day, which is weird) sounds great, I absolutely love For You I'll Die, Marion + piano = harmonious. But I can't say about her 2nd album (Set Me Free) only 3 songs were new, others are from old album, and the new songs that I like is Falling Away, she needs to write her song on her own, not just co-write it. The new Heads Will Roll does sounds great though. She have 'sold' her body for popularity, I don't like that

I prefer Marit more, because her music have soul. But some songs does sounds a bit folk-ish, but it blends in nicely with her cute, soft voice. Her song is unique, 'Under The Surface' song for instance have happy music but if you just read the lyrics, its a very sad song actually. I pay RM190 to buy this album from Amazon tongue.gif

the only movie that does 90s somewhat, tho rooted somewhere in the tail end of the 80s, is Singles.
nothing else.
