Is there a way to turn on/off monitor via hotkey/keyboard strokes?
or any software that i can use do serve that purpose?
ive google around and found a few software, but most of them needs to be purchased so im just trying my luck here if theres any other alternative...

Reason to this, ive got a MCE remote where all the keys are re-programmable and is able to simulate keyboard keys as well. And it would really help alot if i can switch my monitor on and off manually via remote...

that depends on your monitor's driver, some has that ability and some don't.
