So now we have solid state drives in raid 0 configs http://computershopper.com/shoptalk/2007/0...ooks_first_to_f

I mean they can increase platter densities on hard disks to increase access speed, but traditional hard disks are still the last big bottleneck in pcs. Maybe SSDs are the answer?

Seems like an expensive way to boot into windows in under 30 secs but it's still on my wish list biggrin.gif

umm.. not really. Did a search before i posted and there wasn't much in terms of products out there featuring ssd. This is the first time i'm seeing one offered in a raid config.

If the mods want to close this thread that's fine, although the last post didn't hasn't had any constructive comments since 30 march and there are lots of other more nonsensical threads which qualify as spam all over the forums.

Anyway the fact that alienware is now producing SSD raid 0 laptops surely qualifies as news.
