Core 2 Quad 6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 1066FSB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115017

OCed to:
Clock: 3.00GHz
FSB: 1333
Vcore: 1.35
Temp: 55C-62C w/ stock fan/cooler
----------------------
Qs:
1. Should I decrease my CPU voltage to 1.325 or 1.3? Or others?
Since I've seen you guys running OCed 3.0GHz @ lower than 1.35V.

3. How long will my CPU last if I overclock like this and use it daily basis? hmm.gif
-----------------------

*This is the 1st time I am doing overclock

kenot..
tried to set to 1.325V, caused me BSOD.
means I cant go lower than my current v? (1.34)
Now is 1.3438V, so far so good.

Lately I got BSOD ...50 ~ page fault in non pages area.
is this caused by my RAM?
----
but im abit scare of my temp:
+-67C..
is this too high for core temp?
running multiple pages, played spore for +-30minutes.
im using stock cooler and heatsink.
OCed Q6600 2.4GHz 1066FSB to 3.0GHz 1333FSB.

page fault in non paged area , highly likely ram is the cause

67c at 1.34v is as expected from stock cooler ler... but i c ur vid is same as my previous q6600 lor (1.3000VID), how come not stable even at 3ghz? wat mobo u using??
*
this morning when I tried to turn my pc on, bsod after vista load...80, and then 2nd time page fault again..
last nite it was ok, i tried to run memory stability test also.. passed all.. hmm.gif
ive changed my timing to 5-5-5-15-2t from 5-5-5-12-2t, same 2.1v. (does it matter?)
then the problem disappears.
mobo: nForce 680i SLI (122-CK-NF68-AR).

blur hmm.gif

i wonder how reducing timing solves ur prob =.="

what do u mean BSOD when loading vista, 80?
u mean ur proc @ 80c? @@@
*
sry i meant bsod 0x000000080.
After vista finished load, BSOD..
Currently I've downclocked my cpu and my ram, not sure how to make it stable xD

im not sure either, i think sometimes it gets through windows mode, sometimes doesnt.
maybe just happen after i changed my timing then it get through without bsod.

Guys, my q6600 running at 3.2ghz now but the core temp will rise to 69c. Is that still acceptable? Wads the max temp i should let my core reach?
*
is that intel stock fan/heatsink?
mine is around 63-71 when i put 3.0ghz
withour oc is around 55-65
isnt it too big gap in between?

---

so basically, i've experienced 2 bsods after OC, 0x000000080 and page_fault_blablabla
