Gengstapo cakap dulu dia dah retire from overclocking.
Let's see sampai bila dia boleh lari dari temptation of overclocking. laugh.gif

Running right now.
The Abit IP35-E manage to OC my Q6600 G0 to 3.2GHz [400X8] @ 1.3Volts [Yeah, this is my favourite speed, and will always use this for 24/7 smile.gif ].
Wanted to push more, but i love my hardwares, plus, this IP35-E is just a temporary motherboard while waiting for X38. smile.gif

Anyway, just want to ask your guys whose been using Q6600 G0.
Can the Q6600 G0 run at 400X8 @ Stock Vcore? blink.gif

Now the Q6600 G0 running at 400X8 [3.2Ghz] @ 1.31Volts.
If i set anything lower than that, it can't even pass boot screen.

Anyway, does anyone here knows what the stock vcore for this Q6600 G0? blink.gif

Uncle!
I demand CPUz screenie!

Can't believe a 680i chipset based motherboard has the capability of pushing a Q6600 G0 to 506MHz X 8. shocking.gif

anyone else can give me some tip to get 3.2ghz on my q6600. my full spec is:
Duh!
It's super easy.

Set the bus speed to 400MHz, Multiplier to 8, vcore, set the vcore to 1.31Volts, FSB:Dram ratio put to 1:1, there, you're done. smile.gif

shawty, what you did to change multiplier to 8?
my ip35-e refuse to change multiplier with higher fsb.... shakehead.gif
Huh?
Why not? shocking.gif

I just change the multiplier in the first page where you change the FSB, the ram to cpu ratio and voltage changing page lor.
It's there under the place where you change the FSB.

Have u tried updating the bios? hmm.gif

you try change to higher fsb with somemore vcore.
Sorry man, i don't want to risk burning either the processor or motherboard since the board is based on 4 phase PWM & the PCB is only based on 4 layers which is a bit too weak for quad core processors.

I have something to ask though, you seriously can't change the multiplier even at any FSB? blink.gif

I can change the multiplier at any FSB on any bios.
Even on the first bios release i can change the multiplier.

Now i'm on v14 bios, and i'm on 400MHz X 8 too.

weak?
there are many users achieve high oc result with this board.

weird, maybe i'll try to remove the battery while clear cmos later.
how much vcore you need to achieve 3.6ghz?
Yes, high achievement, but mostly using Core2Duo, not Core2Quad.
I use 1.32Volts when i'm on 400x9.
Didn't test the stability though since i want the processor to only run at highest speed at stock vcore. smile.gif

been tested by kvmcom, but i bought new unopened cpu
rolleyes.gif sleep.gif innocent.gif

If it's unopened, how come it's been tested?
Isn't that weird.
Same batches doesn't mean it can overclock at the same level.
