QUOTE(xen0 @ Feb 1 2008, 09:10 PM) hi guys..just wanna ask..is G0 version for Q6600 still available in the market?? izzit all latest stock is G0?? planning to grab one Q6600..thank you Yep, just got it from Cycom over the weekend. QUOTE(kmarc @ Feb 2 2008, 07:37 AM) Eh? I thought I was careful not to type wrongly.... Typo.... Anyway, I have almost finished my simple guide on overclocking the C2D/C2Q (see my sig)...... Going to add a E2160 and E8400 CPU as examples later on.... Any recommendation on how to improve it is welcomed. Thx to bryanyeo87 for his feedback. Thanks, kmarc for the simple guide. Its really helpful.

My initial OC using kmarc guide: I am worried. The temp looks high@2.88Ghz only and the vdroop is also high@ (1.3375-1.248 = 0.08). Any comments?

QUOTE(Dickong @ Feb 6 2008, 06:17 AM) I think for 2.88g at 1.3375v is on the high side, try lowering your voltage, i am at 3.2g n voltage at 1.325v consider not that good even compare with yours even worst. Yep, thx for the advice. Lowered my voltage, now @ 1.31v and no changes on the load temp. QUOTE(kmarc @ Feb 6 2008, 09:16 AM) Highest temp at 54'c? That's ok ma..... Mine is even worse, 3.2Ghz at 1.400v (BIOS), at load, it is 1.312v...... Core temperature at load is about 60-62'C I see, thats a relief. I am trying to get 1:1 CPU and RAM ratio next@ 3.2Ghz.

QUOTE(ReeNz @ Feb 7 2008, 04:33 AM) yeah..cant agree more on the vdroop..the temperature at the first time was exceeding 70c but after reapplying mx-2 it decrease to around 69 max at 1.5v..that time i use vista x64..later after changing to vista x86 and few tweakings now manage to make it stable at 1.4875 vcore but hav to increase the FSB overvoltage to +0.3v..temp max at around 67c..lowest vcore during occt test is 1.376v..more than 0.1vdroop edi..phew..but does vista x64 and x86 really make any difference here? However using x86, kinda wasted because unable to utilize all 4GB RAM. Wanna ask, when you using x64 which program you use to monitor the temp? Anyway looking at 3.6Ghz@67C is really impressive. QUOTE(cschun86 @ Feb 22 2008, 04:38 AM) oh ooo? hmm, i got no other method to measure liao then... coz core temp doesnt work out in my vista ultimate 64bit any suggestion, guyS? There are a few programs available: - Everest - HWMonitor - CoreTemp (a fix is available for x64 systems, but its a hassle)
