yo bro...

i'm getting 3.2Ghz speed very stable at stock voltage of 1.35V...so probably if you want to lower your temp, try use 1.35V instead of 1.375V...

and also, at full load, i'm getting 75+deg'C as well... but if i blast full fan speed at my casing and also on the air cond, i can get around 5degC improvement or more...

and i'm not using WC... just normal air cooling...

I need all the guru to help me.....

I dont know why, I got my Q6600 today, tested all stable, duo orthos full 4 core prime stable for more than 1 hours, I overclocked to only 3.2GHz with 1.375v.

but why the hell my Q6600 running so hot??? I cant believe it how come irenic can get 65c full load at 1.55v....

please tell me why... getting mad. cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

Added on July 30, 2007, 9:25 pmyup... my TAT and core temp about the same...give them a tolerance about +/- 2degC can already...hehe....

Someone already compared Coretemp with TAT and the temp is very similar. TAT is build by Intel and this cant be wrong.

i got a friend who tried water cooling on quad core... giving about minimum 7'C improvement compare to my air cooling using zalman heatsink...

hehe... water cooling is way over my budget now...so stick to air cooling first...wait for empire's result and see if it's worth the money to bunk in...
hehe

if it's not even warm...means the heat transfer no good la...

I'm at 2.8Gghz right now, highest coretemp is 90c while eazy tune shows 70c. I've reinstalled the heatsink already. The weird thing is that when I touched the lower part of the heatsink while under full load, it's not even warm! hmm.gif
Still too lazy to install my Prommy tongue.gif

Added on January 23, 2008, 6:04 pmahh..don't worry about the 1.35V max voltage...

those are the max voltage spec set by the manufacturer in order to confirm that the product will meet it's TDP spec using stock cooling system... eg. 1.35V max in order to guarantee that the Tj will not go over 90'C in 100% load at the stock speed of 2.66Ghz or whichever the speed the CPU is guaranteed...

if you're using better cooling system, should not be a problem to push the voltage higher...

Update.. I just finished playing Call of Duty 4 at 3.6Ghz 1.3875Vcore.. It was fine...

Then I restarted my comp and tried running OCCT test.. for 1 hour..

After 5 mins into the test.. it says its crashed..

Well.. i looked at my Intel box and it says max Voltage is 1.35V..

Got any advise? Now my system is back to stock.. cause i'm just too lazy to fiddle around and all.. i want to sleep also..

Added on January 23, 2008, 6:08 pmi'm using QX6700 and ur result is more or less about the same as my chip...i guess it's our luck?
cause not all chip behaves the same way...some can OC more, some not... but i'm not using water cooling, just normal air cooling...
