Dang! those temp only on TR 120 extreme.. G0 has tp be real good proc. Off to get it next sweet!

Got my Q6600 last week and now pairing it with Xigmatek S1283 and MX-2 TIM.

Results are good and now gradually burning in my Quad.

Anyways im having irregularities of temp between Cores..

Temp of COre 0 and Core 3 seems to be at average 8-10C! I tried to reseat the HSF cooler but same result.

Anyone having similar issues? Im suspecting either Quad IHS or my Xigmatek HSF is concave.

Prime95,orthos etc.. Im not sure about the concave..will check with razer blade. Anyways..despite the temp irregularities.. really happy wif results..

i mean the temp..will definitely try higher FSB when my Quad finish burnin period..

Tried 350X9 today and was stable..

Anyways im only using 965 mobo (Biostar 965PT) im sure i can better results with a P35 board.

Managed to get 3.5Ghz (435X9) on my Q6600 average temp 45C . The Xigmatek sl1283 + mx-2 TIM is really a good pair for cooling the Quad!

3.6GHz stable! .. Manage to boot to 3.8Ghz but need add more Vcore. Will do somemore testing soon.

I did 3.9GHz today but i guess i need to do a pencil mod on my Vdimm cos vdroop very bad..need push more Volts on my rams. Winxp hang after 3secs on boot.

Added on August 31, 2007, 12:26 pmIm finding out that irregular temps for my different cores on my G0 Q6600. Is there any one else finding the same issue?.

After reseating my HSF on my Q6600 and reapplying MX-2 TIM still have same problem. I think my Processor IHS in bit convex/concave..somehow. I know my Xigmatek S1283 is not the culprit as i have tried it on my HyperTX HSF with same results.

Example..2.4GHz@3GHz

Core O: 44c
Core 1: 35c
Core 2: 39c
Core 3: 38c

Core 0 difference to Core 0 is about average 7C Degrees..

I did some research and this is how the core is layout on the Q6600.

But really think that these irregular temp is not critical as i think generally the Q6600 G0's are good new batch of processor from intel looking at the temps im getting at stock and OC.

Yeah really thinking wether wanna lap this IHS..but so far only different of temp bothers me..but im happy with temperature..if B3 then different story.

Someone advise not to lap the Xigmatek S1283 so i havent done it yet.. prob if i wanna do it just use 2000 grit to get good smooth surface..

I dunno wether this good batch or not but i can post upto 450FSB np .. but hang in winxp..most prob my Team Value Rams are holding me back.. prob have different resuts if I have a Good D9's Crucial.

Weird technology these days..im starting to think wether upgrading mobo just for the sake of catching with technology is a worthwhile investment anymore.

I rather wait for more multithread apps immerge before upgrading any mobo n processor.. Hopefully this Quad can last me atleast a year or so.

Stock vcore for G0 varies..but mostly are at 1.2500V . Some reported higher and there also that reported lower then 1.2500V

whats the lowest VCore anyone here had their G0 run at stock speed?

My G0 Q6600 stable at 1.20 - 1.216V stock 2.4ghz speed. Np.

Seems u like to ask these very subjective questions.. i think you can find the answer yourself.

Did a small test on my Q6600 G0 L7@ 3.2GHz (355X9) at 1.25V . Just wondering wether other G0 could do the same. The test passed Orthos 2hrs and Prime95 stable. Will try lower Vcore soon.

Target: Highest OC at most stable lowest Vcore.

At current this Q6600 G0 can do 3.80GHz@1.5V stable on my ol skool Biostar 965PT mobo on Air using Xigmatek S1283 HDT.

Will try 8 hours prime at 1.25V @ 3.2GHz today..

Anyways I dont do much Continous OC.. As I do a lot of Video Encoding and Rendering if an OC pass my rigurous rendering jobs and encoding at minimum 1-4 Hrs then I consider it stable

IMHO.. priming is good for stability testing but most ppl just use these method for hardcore stability test not real world application tests.

So far these G0's are great .. High OC.. stable Vcore and load temps.
