Nah, ram timing does not contribute to core failure during prime stress test if your ram or the timing is problematic, you just simply gonna get BSOD or crash try up the vcore, maybe the vdroop is just too much during cpu load. looking at your CPU-Z obviously 1.325 drops to 1.248 is not good, need around 1.27v-1.28v for the cores to retain stability. but with 1.325v I can reach 3.2 easily This post has been edited by Vigilant: Jun 17 2009, 06:06 PM

QUOTE(atomik @ Jun 21 2009, 02:44 PM) u mean going Fanless? right now using thermalright true 120 for cpu cooler. i think P&P can help me a lil bit. last night i try up the FSB about 5-8, and FSB strap to NB in AUTO, then ram running on 890MHz, after 14 miutes OCCT test, core 0 error, i edy try increase the Vcore n Vmch but still not solve the prob. is it my ram is the barrier? 356x9 - 364x9 vcore 1.39v Vmch 1.22v Vdimm 1.89v aik? I thought you already got 3.2ghz?

QUOTE(atomik @ Jul 14 2009, 07:04 PM) try look at my worker thread 4, i done primetest 95 about 8 hours and xx minutes. then appears hardware failure detected. what does it means by Fatal error rounding was 0.5 and expected less than 0.4 AFAIK primetest 95 running 7 hours consider pass right? (correct me if im wrong) noob hohoh 3.3ghz nampak... pass for certain aspect, well if you're running common softwares or gaming, surely no problem for 24/7 unless you need to run something that is using excessive cpu usage then it's possibly not possible with current setup. why suddenly after 7hours it failed? temp?

QUOTE(atomik @ Jul 15 2009, 11:42 AM) dunno la why its fail after 7 hours. but now testing for 3.4Ghz. hopefully pass the prime. just curious with my windows xp sp3 to use intel burn test. no 64 bit n no 4GB ram. 85c load n idle 52c. on prime n OCCT. @vigilant mind to show ur post like vcore. mch, VTT, mch ref, and so on. Vcore : 1.5v Vdimm: 2.2v NB/SB: 1.3v FSB:1.4v Core 1 GTL Ref:0.67*VTT Core 2 GTL Ref:0.67*VTT MCH GTL Ref:0.64*VTT CPU PLL:1.6 I'm not sure about this but temp is the factor my cores fail during prime95 test. I need to let up my casing side window open, or it will rise to 80'c-85'c during prime and fail in few mins. Its quite stable at 75'c 100% cpu load. Time for WC maybe...but lazy to setup, I rather have aircond instead This post has been edited by Vigilant: Jul 15 2009, 05:53 PM

Diff mobo, x takut burn lagi ke? If you set your voltages same like mine. Better find those who use same mobo like yours, I thought your mobo better for quad.

QUOTE(atomik @ Jul 15 2009, 09:34 PM) erm. edy read the XS forum on p45 ud3p thread. n get some ideas to start with. some suggest to reach 3.6GHz need to test 1.5v vcore 1st. then try lowering the vcore until u find the suitable voltage when experience stability. so i come out with this method n any ideas n recommendation are welcome vdroop how much? Dayum! My vdroop sux!

QUOTE(atomik @ Jul 15 2009, 10:31 PM) 1.38v to 1.36v. ur vdroop sux? if more than 0.05 i think sux kot. cant remember the exact figure. =( Added on July 15, 2009, 10:20 pmcan i trust IBT porgram? refer my picture past the stability at 3.4GHz with q6600 1.424v gigabyte p45 ud3p bios ver. f8 complete all 20 cycle w/o error. but the tempt so sexy+hot . Just burnt my Q6600 . I'm not 100% sure. But the mobo can light up without the 2x12v connector in. I suppose its the cpu then.
