QUOTE(commanderz @ Mar 1 2008, 08:26 PM) err...need to ask abit question.........is the cooler master Aquagate S1 good to overclock 2.4ghz to 3.0 or 3.2 ghz......@@? Stock HSF on Quad can go to 3ghz~3.2ghz depend on processor itself. For HSF,get Xigmatek SHDT1283 or Tuniq Tower 120,those are awesome cooler

QUOTE(anggajaya @ May 8 2008, 02:22 AM) Here's mine... I dunno why my Q6600 is still that hot..aihh..even on my IFx14, the temp reaches 65c at load, idle I can get 39-40. I ve set 1.485 in Bios on My ABit Ip35-E... btw these temps are under a non air con base. anyways this is my result for 24/7 usage. : [attachmentid=463991] As bryanyeo87 say,air cannot cool quad enough@3.6ghz

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ May 14 2008, 08:59 AM) hi guys. want to ask for some advices here. i just got myself a Q6600 G0 rig with stock heatsink fan, 2x1GB DDR1066 Kingmax, Asus P5E, CM Real Power Pro 550W in a gigabyte 3d aurora full alu casing and good cable management. i want to know if i use the stock hsf for now, at what frequency is it save to push my cpu to? i'm running it in a non air-cond environment. is 3.0GHz doable? will it be ok with stock hsf and tuniq tx2? if it is, what is the recommended vcore for the cpu, the bus speed, multiplier, divider etc to achieve it? thanks in advance for all the advices. 333x9,stock vcore, memory set to specify vdimm and set to 2:3 divider

QUOTE(phunkydude @ Jun 17 2008, 05:41 PM) wow~ 3.6 on air , 65c full load. must be a gem w/ low vcore. Agree.Even bryanyeo87 ex gem Q6600,need only 1.375vcore for 3.6ghz but still temp hit 71 C(Thortling point) on air(Xigmatek 1283 lapped and NMB 180cfm screamber ) and need liquid cool to tame it down(Apogee GT,Nirox P2800 pump,Homemade tupperware reservoir,1/2" ID generic tubing,TT Fan and Gigabyte 1x120mm rad) Even so,the temp is still hitting 63 C

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Jul 9 2008, 09:37 PM) Yea, that was on Abit IP35 Pro. However it can't even boot @ 3.5Ghz with P5E even having same full load 1.36v as it was stable on IP35 Pro. Gonna do some pencil mod for vdroop see if it helps or not. Hmmmmm....What about pumping more vcore and see?

QUOTE(syahirax @ Oct 10 2008, 04:43 PM) so far been using 3.of course right now i just own one.Well as for right now,the one with VID 1.2625 manage to get around 3.7 at 1.45 vcore. was wondering, what is the safest vcore to run 24/7? 1.45vcore is pretty ok for 24/7 provided load temp is not over 71 C

@hooby69,should be ok one, don't worry.Your chip quite good lor, very very good.AFAIK,lower vcore high speed chip should run hotter but don't quote me on that.

QUOTE(Dickong @ Nov 25 2008, 08:10 PM) Improve of 5-6c after lapping but still my Q6600 @ 3.4g voltage @1.4 only but temp seem a bit high at 61-60-55-52c full load. Is it possible that applying too much of AS5 can be the cause of high temp. Try google:TRUE washer mod,can drop some temp as well
