and multiplier at x9.I am new Q6600 user.

if u disable C1E, ur rig power consumption will go up quite alot especially OC'ed rig.at the end of the month,ur TNB bill proves everything biggrin.gif
*
actually, i have illegal trick to reduce or cut TNB bill but not do it anymore till now.
so, if i disable C1E,i should do it back, tongue.gif tongue.gif .

last night, i oc'ed my proc,up my vcore to 1.3V,fsb to 333 which make it running on 3.0ghz,
and stress by OCCT for 6 hours.Dont know how much it will cost me.

one more question,so if we enable C1E,does it mean our CPU running at 1.6Ghz at minimal load?
and when playing game or running any heavy program that take 100% cpu usage, automatically it will running at 2.4G?

shhh..those stuff, cannot mention here.illegal.
btw, do u really need to raise ur vcore to 1.3 to get 3ghz?? mine around 1.18v at load can run 100 times of IBT without error already. maybe u up 0.1V for ur VTT and try lower ur vcore. vtt must not be more than 1.5 to be safe.stock vtt for Q6600 is 1.2v.

from wat i observe, its true tht during minimal load, ur cpu speed goes down and ur vcore also. dis is the same concept as laptop processors.
*
i know & will not tell anyone about the illegal trick. tongue.gif tongue.gif

bout vcore,i tried to lower it to 1.2v and after 5 minutes stressing, failure appeared.i will try ur suggestion bout lower the vcore and up the vtt.
there are some options on P5Q BIOS Ai Tweaker that find hard to catch up.

icic... yes mine is 1.3vid... but according to sites, a 1.3vid means i need 1.3 to run 2.4ghz with stability... but with just 1.272 i can run 3.2ghz de lor... 1.3 definitely can go 3.3 or maybe even 3.4ghz @@... so does this mean i can say my proc can run @ 3.3ghz on stock vcore????
*
what the shock?huhu.
some people tells that CPU-Z is the worse app to calibrate the temperature. i dont know why they said that, but i notice that
cpu-z state and bios state is different.that's coz of vdroop right?
and mine,with C1E enable,i got 1.136v default vcore.
with the differences of Q6600 VID,it's so hard to OC by adapt what people have been achieved, unless we try it by own.

my stock VID is 1.304 and the temperature is around 52-55 without OC.
i'm using aftermarket cooling but still got hot and hot, sometime it can reach 64C,hoo...so wory to OC.

BSOD usually occur when there's problem with your hardware, rarely its about problematic windows.

driver clashes will also bring u to the blue world right?
