Bro kmarc, got a question here. I've been running stable at 3.2ghz (400x8) on my Q6600. However sometimes, when starting the pc, it jumps back to stock clock, why did this happen??

Recommended to stress your rig using orthos or prime95 for at least 6-12 hours....It is possible that your mobo reset to stock settings due to instability........ |

Why are you using 4 instances of orthos? Download the new version of Prime95. The app stresses all 4 cores simulateneously..... no hassle of starting 4 orthos and setting core affinities.... Keep the temperature around 60-65'c though... This post has been edited by kmarc: May 25 2008, 07:40 AM |

I just want to share my oc experience.
I'm having hard time to overclock my Q6600 with asus p5n32-e sli (1203 bios) manage to get 3GHz @ stock voltage stable. my fsb seems limiting my proc oc'bility. change to x8 multiplier, i manage to get 353 FSB stable. I'm aware that p5n32-e sli is poor overclocker on quads. |

The Asus P5N32-E SLI, absolutely hates quad cores, contemplated on doing the mods to be able to modify the GTL voltages, someone from XtremeSystems forum did this mod, but finally just too darn lazy, sell the darn mobo and get something more quad core friendly...
