i'm using xigmatek s1283 air cooler.
try to reinstall your thermalright on the processor, i think sth is wrong there.

Is it due to my old school casing. TT xaser lll, in fact i have try several time on the TRU sitting but same .

maybe it's due to the uneveness of the TRU's base?
open the sidepanel see got any big difference.

When open side casing the temp drop by around 5-6c

maybe something wrong with your sensor.
now my system temp: 32C, proc idle: 38C, fulload 67C
ambient temp: 27C

I did ask in the earlier forum that it might be my mobo sensor going kuku but no one reply, anyway is it possible the sensor be the culprit. Anyway my idle is alway at around 46, 46, 43 39 now n it is raining

hmm i tried to OC my Q6600 to 3.6GHz but i cant get it to be stable for more than 5 minutes stress testing using prime. Raised the vcore till 1.475 (in bios). The full load temp almost 70C.

its stable at 3.2GHz though

try to pump somemore voltage in nb and sb?
my q6600 is stable at 1.39vcore in bios 3.4ghz. idle about the same but load around 60C.

oh, its my first time OC'ing, so i left the nb and sb voltage at auto.

any hints on how much i should add?

if you have everest ultimate edition, go to tools and click at system stability test. run orthos and burn ur cpu. remove ur cpu fan, check ur cpu throttling graph. the moment cpu throttling graph shoot to 100%, look at the temperature and remember it. this is the temperature you should avoid.

pls make sure u have the correct reading or else u will kill ur proc very soon.
anyway,TRUE only rm250,RM299 is IFX-14

i got my proc to be stable for Prime95 @ 3.6GHz on 1.48V, in idle its 52C and full load reaches 75C...thats crazy, so i reduced the vcore to 1.45V and its stable for normal use with idle at 48C, no crashes or BSOD yet so far. SuperPI, Everest and 3DMark benchmarking ran smoothly.

will try to lower down the voltage to <1.4V and test for basic system stability soon.

ambient temperature is 35C (very hot )

did u change the nb and sb volt as well when u did this? as u said before u tried even up to 1.55 but couldnt get it to stable before?
