Bro any ss of your 4ghz stable ? What's the voltage needed to make it run at 4ghz ?

mine is 1.265,1.25 is pretty nice.Used to have 2 Q6600 with 1.325(not the best) and those overclocks worst.The lapped one is B3 and when i bought em i straight away lapped the proc.So didnt know the temp before.

3.6ghz with only 1.36v ? under 100% load your temp is quite low.. what heatsink you are using ?

if i'm not mistaken,he tweaked his GTL setting to achieve lower vcore, from wat i see VTT increased from 1.2 to 1.38.bro cscheat,mind to let us noe how much vNB u pump??

guys, i think its time for new games to  fully utilise our quad core procs. look at recommended requirement for GTAIV here. it says:

Rockstar has confirmed the rumoured delay of GTA IV PC that puts the release of the game all the way back until December 2nd. The announcement confirms the change in retailer dates that were first spotted on retailers websites.

The delay puts the release of the game back by two whole weeks, though Rockstar haven't explained what exactly the reason for the slip is.

The good news though is that Rockstar has at least released the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game, which appear similar to those which had previously been leaked by Microsoft's Games for Windows website before they were removed, Check them out below.

How you hold the processor when lapping becos the proc chip is small, n any risk that may contact the other side of the chip, secondly it seem very hard to hold it. Did you use anything to hold it when u do lapping.

I just lap my processor but i am only getting about 3c different, is it i have apply too much as5 on it, i apply small amount on the proc n small amount on the heatsink, is it alright. secondly why small difference only.

Improve of 5-6c after lapping but still my Q6600 @ 3.4g voltage @1.4 only but temp seem a bit high at 61-60-55-52c full load. Is it possible that applying too much of AS5 can be the cause of high temp.

Try google:TRUE washer mod,can drop some temp as well

Hmm, I'm running 3.2GHz at 1.2V. Q6600 G0, 400 X 8 atm...still testing for stability. But one thing I notice is that at idle, the vcore is 1.23V but during load is 1.20V.

So which one is the one to consider? At idle or at load?

hmmm... forget liao my vcore during load when at 3.2ghz,, but i think its around 1.25 during load... now @ 3.6ghz 1.424 idle n 1.392 on linx... set 1.45v at bios, n its the best settings i can go so far... will increasing nb voltage allow me to put lower vcore for my proc???
