QUOTE(kmarc @ Feb 20 2008, 10:38 PM) Get better cooling.... ooopss ... sorry ... typo .. should be 1.5vcore (in BIOS) hit 77C (main temp in everest .. coretemp shows 73C or so for highest core) .. to reach 3.6ghz @ 400x9 .. heheheheAnyway, something is wrong with your OC..... G0 stepping right? You shouldn't need so high a voltage to OC to 3.0Ghz...... my cooler is from previous PC .. scythe ninja .. planning to get better cooler when the $$$ allows me to lorr currently running daily 3.0 8x375 .. vcore in BIOS 1.275 idling temp 43-44C in coretemp .. load 63C max in coretemp |

QUOTE(cky80 @ Mar 8 2008, 12:07 AM) fellow OC'ers u say your rig is q6600 but cpu-z shows qx6700 .. really cacat la the cpu-z ... hahahahaai have a problem. CPUZ, Coretemp, Speedfan, BIOS and easytune (gigabyte rev5) all gimme different reading my setup: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « this is my problem: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « why is that? i compare for temperature, speedfan gives me the most accurate in relation to bios (maybe +5C more in speedfan). The rest are just out like crazy! especially coretemp (>+20C to bios). WTF man. so my questions 1) anyone know why my readings are out? even core voltage is out, i set bios 1.32V and even cpuz reads cacat! 2) what temp is most accurate? i read bios is still on the + side to the exact temp, so im thinking speedfan readings are best? 3) this is for anyone with gigabyte bios on p35 : is the (G) MCH option in the tweat section in bios = the northbridge voltage? how do i know current voltage? 4) how do u guys check MCH temp? scared too hot... thanks sifu sifu OC... most ppl use coretemp as reference .. fanspeed has been known to be off by 15C or more .. i read it somewhere .. google it .. hehehe |
